SP games aren’t dying; it’s just sad Xbox fans who regurgitate Phil Spencer’s words, while praising GaaS, even though they have no idea what that actually means. Sony has great SP games, Nintendo has great SP games, while third party publishers have great multiplayer. That’s the way it should be.
Not to be that guy, but 30 seconds on Switch, vs 60 minutes on PS4... Cool that they have something, but it’d be pretty cool to be able to record full multiplayer fights/ story segments like I can on PS4. Oh well.
Still got my fingers crossed that the rumored achievement system is real. Far more interested in that.
Because it’s all the hope that Xbox fans have to cling on to, in the hopes that their favorite console brand continues to have even a shred of relevancy. Can’t blame them; when the console reaching such a low that its struggling to sell 100K per month in its only strong region. That’s why most of them resorted to just sheer deflection and blatant lies.
When even MS has admitted that they don’t expect X to sell that well, especially compared to S, yet people like you still claim otherwise. Why is that?
PS4 has been outselling Xbone by more than 3:1 all this year, and has long since been confirmed to have more than double the worldwide sales, currently. Do a little research bud lol
Yeah, but with Sony having the marketing rights to both CoD and BF2, as well multiple LE console bundles, that’s definitely going to play out in their favor with a lot of people buying those games. We can’t ignore that even at its worst, CoD still manages to be the best selling game each year, and this year’s CoD is looking to be one of the better selling ones. I don’t even have to mention how many people are going to gobble up those BF2 bundles, with the new movie releasing.
Hopefully the notion of “every game has to be open world to be good” is finally dying. We have a plethora of genres and styles for a reason: so we don’t stuck playing the same crap over and over. Open world games are great in their own right, but games that focus more on linear story and character development are also great. TLoU is fairly linear, and is one of the best games ever created.
I doubt we’ll be seeing TLoU2 and Death Stranding next year, but even then Sony already a solid exclusives lineup. Very interested in hearing about this big new IP at PGW, as well as what they could reveal at PSX.
It doesn’t take that long. It’s 84 matches as each faction, for a total 168 for platinum. That number is so much lower than it sounds if you’re talking about a game that has great multiplayer.
Personally, I found UC4’s and TLoU’s multiplayer to be spectactular.
Just looking at a couple comments, this already needs serious clarification. This is NOT SCE; this is Sony Music, a separate entity from SCE. All they're doing is publishing already announced indie titles in order to help the developers garner some attention. None of the exclusive SCE-published IP's are coming to Nintendo consoles any time soon.
Maybe it's simply complementing Zelda by being inspired by it, like 3D Game Dot Heroes on PS3.
My choice is mainly due to gamer profile. I have a lot of time and money already invested into my PSN ID, so it's difficult for me to play multiplats on any other system.
I'm guessing this is what happens when all the early paid reviewers are done, and the honest ones start coming out lol
I'm cool with this. I'm not expecting a whole lot of content from the expansion; I just want to hear that Guerilla is going full force with developing a sequel. Can't wait for that.

What proof do you have of that? Outside of a select few Japanese titles (portable, duh), I have yet to hear of any major multiplats selling better on Switch. There's no way in hell that western titles like DOOM, Skyrim, or Wolfenstein are going to sell better on Switch lol
I don't think anyone has said this, even hardcore Nintendo critics. It has plenty of games, and good ones at that; it's just lacking in the third party department. Not that it's doing horrible there, but there's still many big name titles that we have to see or even hear about.
Why?
I'll definitely be picking up Wolfenstein 2 on PS4 in a couple weeks. Switch version sounds good, but I can't consciously play multiplats on anything besides PlayStation. Probably just pick up Mario next year.
60 minutes is a bit much, but at least it’s there. I’ve personally used it for uploading MP matches that take up anywhere from 5 - 15 minutes, so 30 seconds to me seems very low, especially given that it’s going to be at a lower resolution no less.
