Weird Sak, when I say the same thing about FFXIII being held back on the PS3 because of a 360 edition, I get jumped on. Fact is, there is only x amount of dev time, things WILL be cut now that its going multiplatform. Pity, BS2 and FFXIII could be amazing if they focus on a single system.

Ah, Halo 3... Guns, splitscreen, addictive gameplay, the most banging of soundtracks... The game has it all as far as console FPS go, right?
Well actually no. Another game had all of those things years ago, and frankly, it did them all better. That game is Goldeneye 007, released in 1997 on the Nintendo 64.

I think the fact that it permeates toys and even softdrinks is what makes the brand feel.. I don't know, spread out. And now an RTS. It's like Star Wars. Slap a Halo name on it, and even if its crap, it will sell.

What turned me off most was that its a headshot-fest. When the basic gun mechanic is broken like that, it just turns me off to any "tactical" play the game may have. If they would just turn off headshots, or better yet up body/torso damage, I'd play the game nonstop.

Barom, frankly thats BS, as both new (Mirror's Edge, Prince of Persia) and old (Uncharted, GTA4) are getting Trophies. Hopefully they implement them, but "new devkits" are NOT needed to add Trophy support. It doesn't work that way.

I'm sorry, but while Gears looks great, with nice shaders, it's not perfect.

Doesn't mean they should skimp on the campaign though, which you have to admit suffered a bit compared to Halo 1 or 2. Not to say its bad, but definitely a disappointing ending IMHO.

Does every FPS NEED bosses? No. But for Bungie, who are tossed about as FPS "innovators" at every turn, to leave out such great possibilties and mechanics in single player, such as battleing Gravemind or other large scale epicness just smacks of missed opportunity.
That "church issue" was overblown and actually lead to a resurgence in sales. I don't see how thats a bad thing?
Also, if you're using this as a negative against the game, you are reaching, hard.
