I find it funny that people scoff at things like the term "money hat" which colloquially has come to mean some form of incentive for developers, when its definitely a common occurrence in today's gaming industry.
Making a demo a limited release is just beyond silly and a disservice to consumers.

I have to agree. I'm fine with multiplatform, but its the delays that irk me more than anything. We should be on to FFXIV in development already if we looked to the PS2 dev cycle at Square.
Are we really going to argue this before we even see the damn game or hell, get confirmation its in development? Well, first off, its opinion. I see GTA4, LBP, F2, GeoW2, and MGS4 all winning GOTY from SOME place.
Secondly, its an opinion. Not fact. Not law. Not objective.
Thirdly, I think Fable 2 is a fine choice. Remember, games are about fun. At the same time however, I can't help but think that Fable 2 deserved more time in the cooker. It just needed more content, and more polish. It's a great experience as is, but I wish MS didn't force the game out this holiday season. M...
The problem being...
a) MS harps on this a good 4 - 5 times a month. It gets old.
b) It usually involves slamming the competition with backhanded compliments.
c) Sales really don't matter unless you own stock.
d) People use it as a lame excuse to not discuss the strength of the industry, but rather in fanboy pissing matches that devolve to "ur systum sux lulz111!!!!"

GG, the fact is, people CARE TOO MUCH. Is it great to see how a system is doing? Sure is. But people rarely use this information to inform themselves. They use it to bash, smash, and insult everything else and anyone else.
