Thank you Lok for being a sensible poster.
Also, LOL at fanboys who don't read the article.
360's easier to work with? Then why is The Last Remnant such a heavily technically flawed game?
Face it Square, you should have stuck with your own engine and NOT the Unreal 3 engine.
What's unfortunate is that many people will turn this, instantly, into an anti-console/ps3 sucks/flame war thread... when instead, they SHOULD be asking themselves this.
It's all well and good that established IPs sell, but why are so many gamers quick to cry out "lack of innovation!" on a consistent basis, then NOT support titles like LBP and Mirror's Edge and Valkyria? Again, why does a title like 50 Cent or Movie Cash In 45 sell more than something like Okami, Ico, o...
Maybe if I go setup Blogs4Fanboys.com... we will have some actual news there.
Did anyone NOT see this one coming?
I still love how the interviewer caught that nice man from Square Enix on the subject of FFXIII exclusivity and Star Ocean exclusivity.
1) Focus on the damn games. Out of 2 hours, there was TEN MINUTES of game related stuff. Lame.
2) People don't care about people like LL Cool J hocking games he has never played.
3) NPH is too cool for stupid skits.
4) Less goddamn musical numbers. More focus on, I dunno, GAMES.
5) Stop pasting ads on everything, from the teasers (Gamestop reserves!) to the awards (Powered by Dew?!)
6) Don't relegate the awards to a 1 minute mon...
I know who cares... the idiot fanboys on this site with no social life and fear that their toy will stop loving them.
*yawn*
The very concept of "Year of the ______" is stupid, as its entirely subjective, and doesn't even specify what you are talking about, be it sales, personal preferences, review scores, etc.
Why do people even argue it? 2008 was a great year for GAMERS. So will 2009.
Sony, unlike Microsoft, does not charge for Theme Packs.
I can do it too!
Cloud's hair = pointy
Communism = VERY pointy!
Go me!
I'd rather have a solid focus on a single player, epic campaign with nice unlockables, then a halfassed, unnecessary MP mode that is probably broken like GTA4s.
Once again Namco I ask you this... if its REALLY, TRULY about not disappointing the fans, then why has Ace Combat not been released on the PS3? Or are those 18 million potential fans not as important?
Do tell Namco, do tell.
If ya honestly want to know... I was just disappointed. Despite the technical steps forward, everything else felt like a step back. Repetitive missions, a lack of the dark humor of past titles, less weapons, iffy vehicle control in anything but cars, less random stuff to do (gym, minigames), a lame "secret vehicle" to earn, and really no reason to replay it or explore after the story is done. I may be a bit harsh, but I just didn't have as much FUN with it in the end, and the online...
I was just as surprised as you.
It won 3 awards, the most of the evening. How is that being shafted?
Anyone else remember that article posted a few weeks back about Gears 2 being a revolution in story telling, because the characters on screen react in the manner the player does... such as asking why the Locust Queen is human?
Same thing here. Pretty cool, both you and Drake learn that he is effed at the same time, after confusingly looking out that window.
I love you Naughty Dog.
Looks like... more GTA4.
I'd like a confirmation on more weapons and mission variety. Should be awesome though for the people who loved GTA4!
Nathan Drake is easily the GREATEST CHARACTER created during this generation. Other studios should take notice, as this small teaser had more character than all of Resistance 2 and Gears 2, IMHO of course.
We're 75% through the show... how many awards are left? Like 10... way to go Spike. You suck.
Ho ho ho... what did they do wrong? Where do I start?
1) For a show honoring games and giving out awards, they doled them all out in a 30 second montage near the end of 2 hours of commercials and commercial tie ins (Dew? Really?).
2) Celebrities no one cares about, because they have NOTHING to do with games. I guarantee you if you try to add Marissa Miller's SN to XBL, you'll end up playing some fat 40yo MS employee in his mom's basement.
3) Musical act...
