I'm aware. I'm just saying that RAM is more important. And Sony didn't achieve the graphical distance they wanted based completely on the lack of available ram. For a system they sunk so much into, that was their downfall. But I still love what they've done with the PS3, and I hope in the future they keep supporting those offbeat games that Microsoft would just laugh at supporting.
ARM is pretty much the most used processor in the world, so it's cheap. It's also incredibly easy to program for, which allows for game developers to create their games far cheaper and quicker than if Sony were to go with something as complex as the Cell.
But honestly, at this rate, if Sony just tweaked the speed of the cell, or more SPUs or something. Maybe if design was they could better streamline it, then it would probably still arrive with more power than whatev...
Let's face it, both consoles are starting to show their age. If sony would have put more RAM in their system, this generation would have honestly been completely different for them.
But they would have lost even more money so I can't really lay the blame on them.
Part 2:
Okay so you blamed the player. Interestingly enough, in KZ2 BEFORE they changed the no spawn protection, spawn grenades were fine. Yes, players they didn't know what they were doing did put them in the wrong direction. But that didn't matter. I could spawn and turn around before the protection wore off. It was fine. It worked. And most of all, it wasn't instant death for me every single time I tried to spawn outside of home base.
Instead, ...
I'm probably going to get yelled at for this, but honestly I don't really care what they do.
I love Killzone. I really do, I remember renting the first game on PS2 about 10 or 11 different times because I thought it was awesome (I was too young to afford to buy it). I played that game online and loved it. Then, after such a long wait, Killzone 2 arrived and I loved every single thing about it. The single player I actually enjoyed. I know the general idea is the same ...
Well I didn't mean it would be easy. Just that it would be easier than if you had no experience with Demon's Souls.
Demon's Souls had similar framerate issues and it got Game of the Year from Gamespot. In a year with games like MW2, UC2, Dragon Age, and Assassin's Creed 2 it had quite the competition to come out on top.
It'll probably be easier for everyone that spent a decent amount of time with Demon's Souls. Knowing what to expect, and have most of the combat already down helps a lot. I mean, Demon's Souls the second time through was a cakewalk.
You do realize on preorders amazon offers release day shipping for $.98 right? New games arrive at my house about noon on the release day.
Yeah, I'm buying the guide, but I won't use it till at least my second playthrough, probably not until my third.
I think you're all insane if you think this game looks worse than BC2. Go back and pop in BC2, it was a jaggy mess.
Not too mention the beta builds generally are older builds. Do you really think they are going to release the final game with people falling through the ground? Doubt it. And they have already said there are graphical elements missing from the beta as well.
Personally I think turning a corner and being blinded by a flashlight is gorgeous. E...
I might actually get this for ps3 if they allow keyboard and mouse inputs so when I really want to play cs, I can.
Dark Souls.
Yeah, I went there.
I have a pair of Sharkoons X-Tatic 5.1. They are pretty amazing. Look them up on amazon, about 139.99 but welll worth it.
I'm probably going to play the game the first time through without the full guide, then use it the second time so I can get the best weapons. I probably won't be shooting to hard for specific character builds the first time through like I currently do with Demons Souls.
I agree. But personally I loved Dragon Quest 8, and I wonder how that would have turned out... Had the merger not happened
I didn't really enjoy the game either. I found it pretty boring. Yeah, the story was good, i'll give it that. But the 'awesome' battle system wasn't really that awesome. For a couple reasons. The biggest one being that almost every single battle in the game has the same exact set up. There will be some type of elemental enemy, an armored enemy, and then a normal enemy. Cast opposite of he elemental, use auron or khimari to attack the armored guy since they can easily pi...
Wow. Pretty much my exact thoughts. All three of those are amazing games.
I agree with WL. People seem so obsessed over FF7 that they just seem to act like no other FF games exist. In terms of 3d FF games 8 is being far my favorite with 9 the next in line. It's shocking how many people hate on 8. It makes me wonder if they even played it past the first ten minutes. It's such an incredible game and probably has the best music of any FF game. The only downfall is that the game was fairly easy aside from a few side bosses.
I'm pretty sure it was console footage. When he goes to shoot the chandelier down, the way the camera moves looks like a console controller to me.
