How Square Enix Can Win Their Fans Back?
Make good games. That's all there is to it. If that means making a new chrono game, new kh game, new IP, then so be it. As long as it's a good game, it will sell.
What exactly are you ranting about?
To understand Final Fantasy 13, you gotta understand who it's trying to appeal to. It was trying to appeal to Japanese audiences. So much that it managed to alienate the Western population. A single western character, Sazh, wasn't going to help it.
But now to say that the Final Fantasy 13 team hasn't been listening is wrong. They obviously are. They inputed towns, decisions, time travel. So i'm not exactly s...
Dance Central has gotten kind of hot. I would contribute it to that. Based on what I'm seeing.
The original Halo and Goldeneye would also come before MW3. WoW also would come before MW3.
I'm glad they included counter strike though. Hate that they're referring to the xbox one that was released in 2004 and not the original PC one.
I agree. I loved FF9 the most. However, I believe that FF7 has had a greater impact over the gaming industry. I would even go as far as to say that FF7 has had more impact than every JRPG out there. And it shows.
Saying that it's the best JRPG out there is a different story though.
If they included these games that people are suggesting, they'd have to include a lot more games as well....
The list that they give is true and diverse. I'd say, with very few exceptions, that the list contains the most revolutionary games that appeared on the PS consoles.
If you've never bought the games, how would you know they are overrated?
Indeed. It looks reminiscent of Crisis Core. Ominous for an impending tragedy. With 14 protagonist, at least 4 seem fated to die. ;D
Nonetheless, Square Enix has shown to have a good idea of how to make Action RPGs. I doubt this game will be an exception.
If it's a good game, it won't matter.
I agree that there doesn't need to be a FF7 remake. That's just a waste of time, as was the time spent on spinoffs and sequels of the game. I loved Crisis Core, though. The point where they started doing sequels is the point they started losing their fanbase.
I agree with the point to bring back the overworld. There's no reason why Ni no Kuni had to be the first AAA game to showcase it this generation of consoles. Square enix keeps trying too hard to revolutionize...
The fact that Tetsuya Nomura has a big role in the game keeps my faith alive for 2 sequels, a prequel, and a spinoff.
"The magazine apparently has details on a massive, original action RPG thats being produced by Ryutaro Ichimura."
Just to give a little insight, Ryutaro Ichimura has made some Dragon Quest games under Square Enix. Also, Square enix has been pretty good with their Dragon Quest games.
So i'm imagining it could be a Dragon Quest style action rpg. I wouldn't be surprised since in Japan, Dragon Quest is as famous and popular as the Final Fantasy ...
If you click on the picture inside the link, the PS3 version is also shown.
I dig it, but why it has to be pink, i don't know.
"Uncharted 3: A well crafted third person shooter ... "
hm... what an understatement. And he emphasizes the 'experience' of Zelda and Portal. His description is literally that vague. It's not a very well written article. It seemed like he wanted to get a controversial thought out there, but he didn't have a good fundamental basis. He definitely should've focused more on why the other games ARE goty.
He is right though that this ...
Low point for me was the slow start of the PS3. And really, this was because of the high price and the games. I didn't have a problem with the games, it's just that none of them hit close to home for me. It all seemed like games were still trying to define "next-gen." Luckily, the PS3 had Blu-ray, which was a great advancement 5 years ago.
This small disinterest would continue for a while, but I still bought games because I knew the potential of the console....
If pong had no bugs, I don't see why Skyrim should have bugs. It's a slap in the face!
Still though, good thing there isn't anything like the Dead Island bug that regressed save files by tons of hours.
Fisherman's horizon, blue fields, and Eyes on me are my favorites of FF8. They also had pretty good mysterious and ominous "witch" music like "Find your way." But I have to say that FF9 is still my favorite OST. It was able fit the emotion, but it was also able to be a bit playful when it wanted to be.
If i'm able to kill the kid off, i would buy regardless of quality
