The fact remains that I, only speaking for myself, believe that the Wii is encouraging developers to lowwer their standards to make a profit. Wii games are easier and cheaper to make. More pick up and play family games will appear on the Wii, but more "Wow, this is Awsome" games will appear on the consoles that took the bigger graphical steps.
Acidrhain, the way I read it, Gears is your life? No GF, No Job, no life outside gears? Maybe I was arrogant with the noise and heating issues I have with my 360, but I paid for the thing and I can complain about it's flaws, you don't have to take it so personal buddy. If you Love Gears, Great. Be sure to wipe off the disk after you finish loving it.

I think they have an issue with packing in an M rated game. Packing an E rated game means it is ok for mommy to buy this console for junior. THough Warhawk or KZ2 would do wonders for sales as a pack in with the adult male crowd, those buying it for a family environment might be turned off. I do think those are great ideas for a pack in though.

I finished GTA III. I played the other 2 and never completed them. Over 100 hours of gameplay, but I never finished them. It was like a cigarette to me. Pick it up, play it for a while to satisfy my fix, go back to what I was doing. By the time the extra content comes out, I will be on something else, unless this has a strong online experience. I agree, I thought UT3 was shown for the PS3 like in 2005 E3. Maybe 06. later announced it was coming to the 360 as well.
The stranglehold Halo has on the Xbox. Gears found it's footing because 1) it is a very good game and 2) Halo was a while away. If any shooter hopes to get a footing on the 360, it better time it's release between Gears and halo.

to the whole gamer score thing in the begining, but I noticed I was buying bull$#!+ games just to boost my score. That's when I started my 12 step program to get off the gamer score. I can now afford games I actually want to play for the game, not the score. If you played Turtles, Kingkong or Madden for the 360 for an easy 1000 points, you need the 12 step program.
Go ahead and Ban it, My Wii only plays Wii sports 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...... And maybe Metroid. The gamecube one was great.

You can leave them where they are, I had no issues in SOCOM with the PS2. Tighten the sticks, Pack in a cord to charge and offer a program to return the 4 I have now without rumble. The tilt is like an extra analog stick, so keep it as is. I don't like triggers on the controller, but I see how people use them for driving and shooters. I use analog for driving (Gass/break) and I'm just fine with r1 to shoot.
PS3 is too expensive for the mass market it needs! and has an inferior online network.
360 is prohibited by it's storage medium (DVD) and restrictive on it's peripheral options.
Wii, though fun, is hindered by last gen power and focuses it's appeal to a wide market that includes those (Elders and baby boomers) who will not be buying alot of games (Wii sports 1, 2, 3...).

that it does not offer the ammount of content and options that XBL is setting as the medium. PSN can hold it's own, but needs to live up to it's potential before I'll be content with it. I have a PS3, but realize XBL is more robust.
