How is this aspect unlike Live? Gold members get demos before silver members. To get this early access, you have to pay. I see no fault here.
this is a great option and use of technology. I'm sure some will say that to play the full game, Sony is making you buy more hardware. I think it's more like Sony is rewarding those who have been giving their full support. The PSP only people will still get a full game, but the rest will get an enhanced experience, which is deserved for the continued support.
Thanks to Insomniac and Sony for this one.

Don't know the other.
Then I splurge and buy it. SAD. I'm going to try not to get this one. SC is doing just fine.
The white flag of surrender for this holiday season?
And I felt this was up their alley, but I didn't expect this to make it to N4G. Guess my expectations were too high. Shame on you for giving this trash the air play it does not deserve.
or getting around Xbox live's guidelines for an MMO.
I have been hanging with Drake. You used to be cool and all, but you got lame and things have not been the same. So don't take this with hard feelings, but you won't be invited to my consoles. Take care of yourself. :)
This demo represents the way NOT to sell a game. For someone not familiar with the game (myself), the battles with the larger beast resulted in quick death. Some of the mechanics were cool, but the character design was not interesting at all and the demo just did not impress. This is a Pass for me.
but, no NFL license, no chance. I would buy it just to spite EA, but I don't speak for anyone but me. They could have butt naked cheerleaders handing out LBP beta codes and it would not sell without the license.
I retired the chase after the gamespot fiasco. This chase is not making me want the game more, it's making me play other games.
Working with real world money and one account crossing between both systems. Lets say I put $20 dollars on my PSN account preparing for a game coming out in a month. That Thursday, there is a PS game I really want, but it's $15 dollars and I'm strapped for real world cash. No problem as the money is shared between both. It should all be Nintendo points, not Wii points and DSi points.
I don't think they have much ground to stand on though. More is to be made on LBP at launch as a stand alone game rather than a pack in game and SONY wants the numbers on this game to be HUGE.
Can SONY seriously put a $500 dollar console on the market (NO MATTER THE VALUE OF THE PACKAGE) and realistically expect it to have an impact in a holiday season where each of their competitors has a system available for at least $250 less then this offering. Sadly, SONY will lose this Christmas, regardless of software because the people buying this will see $500 dollars. The loyal fan base cannot carry a console alone this gen.
I know there are cheaper PS3 SKU's available, but ...
I don't see how Gears can be Casual.
Another game hindered would be Pokemon. No more importing from older games. The Mem card slot could be a shot at GS in the form of digital Distro. Sell the games online and miss out the retail outlet.
This seems like their attempt to go to DS 1.5, almost better to use those in the next gen DS instead of boosting this one.
Sure it could have been better, but what is perfect about any console or controller? The statements about needing to release the controller to type are silly because you have to set it down completely to type with an actual keyboard. Your options:
Give this a go and learn to master it.
Stick with your wireless/USB/BT keyboard.
Or enjoy your Xbox chatpad and be happy.
These are games folks. Play on.
I tried the GS way. I don't have time to chase beta codes across the web. I'm in WO:HD, Socom beta, Buzz, TW 2009, gears, halo 3, Burnout (Trophies!), Resistance 1 (Story) and 2 beta in a few weeks. I can wait on LBP, not like I have a shortage of games (for once).
Sorry, that's what I meant, Motorstorm (The Series) brought back Split screen in their second outing. I was referring to the series, not the game individually. And, Yes, I do play games. I try to think things through before just spewing on the web. It's all good though.
It would be nice to have it start downloading the file as soon as it's available in the background whenever you are not engaged in an online game and your system is on. Heck, why not make a hibernation mode where it is all powered off and scheduled downloads can occur while you are away, ready to go when you get home? THAT would be nice. Have a list of up and coming DL content. You select the ones you are interested in and queue them up. When they are available, they start without your input....
