Regardless of the system, we know people have multiple accounts and on occasion, may use those accounts to play games. I know I have used those 48 our live cards to play with another account just for the heck of it. We would make up names that go together and play for the weekend with them, then go back to our normal. I have used 5 different tags for CoD4 on the 360. My point is, these "Unique users" statistics will never be accurate unless you interview every account holder to see ...

Party chat is great if you and your buddies are just hanging out and plating some online game(s) and talking while you are enjoying your time. But when it comes to playing ranked games, the party chat does give an advantage that should not be there, for example being dead in Gears, but still being able to tell your live team mates where the other team is and what they are doing. I do have to say that not having to listen to 10 year old kids does tip the scale in favor of party chat.

Since you put it that way, it got a good laugh out of me.

Hey Sony, how about a firmware update to say how long it took to get a platinum as far as game play hours. That way, we all have a chance to upstage this guy and write a post in all caps bragging how it took us 25 game play hours and it took him 36. (Just numbers, I have no idea how long it took.)

Played the hell out of it as a matter of fact. Then I stopped. It took about 2 weeks, but I have not had the urge to go back. It is a very fun game, great for the amount you spend, but don't expect the game to beat all games. It will not hold your attention that long. The game is however worth the price of admission. Check it out. They deserve it.

Thank you for your definition, and I don't think you will be getting many disagrees for the shovelware comments, it's undeniably true.

So, based off of this definition, I would fit into the "Core" gamer demographic. Yet, I'm still curious about the possibility of a PS3 motion control system more akin to what the Wii does than to what the Sixaxis does.

The better graphics and processing power are the start of it, but it boils down to what developer can maxi...

I gave this site a hit. Ok, going into router settings and blocking this site from being accessed. There.

I see your point about bluetooth, but you don't have to point the Wii-mote at the screen and sensor for everything. Mario Kart has you hold it sideways, point between the ceiling and the floor, but not at the screen. The other times you are pointing at the screen are to aim at something on the screen and I honestly don't see how this can be accomplished without actually point at the screen.

Can someone define a "Core" gamer? Is there a clear cut line that says this side is core and this is not? Are there different levels of "Core" gamers?

The reason I ask be because I see a large quantity of comments saying "Core gamers don't want this" and I fail to see the truth in this.

Is a core gamer someone who spends money on games frequently? Someone who plays games on a daily basis? Someone who only plays shooters and strives to ...

There is a reason the Wii is making money out the park. Ease of use. There is no doubt the PS3 is far superior in every sense, but because this other demographic finds the Wii-mote easier to use, it gets their money. Sony is not posting the PS2 numbers because the game has changed and Nintendo is dictating how to appeal to the casuals better.

Sony has several casual friendly franchises out there like Buzz and Singstar. Both of which use a different controller. If these games pro...

I'm thinking I have played those Duran Duran songs. Are they on Guitar Hero WT? Speaking of which, I want the "Do it again" from Steely Dan that is in WT.

They would keep their existing contract intact, but not allow a renewal/extension, instead forcing a new contract with the new fees intact.

Websites will see their hits go down. Online gaming will see a massive drop off in play across the board. Wireless home network piggy backing will reach new highs. I know this is just about AT&T and their wireless data service, but we saw Time Warner develop this plot already. If someone is able to pull this off, others will follow suit. You may see a spike in media types other than online based ones like news papers, magazines, Lions Den, Music CD's and others. I think the better solutio...

It seems you spent more time writing about how your not a fanboy and what fanboys do than actually talking about the topic.

I think is a situation where true colors are starting to show. The Wii is a fun, inexpensive, quick fix. The PS3 was an expensive investment with little software to back the expense. As time has gone on, the PS3's value is showing a little better and the Wii's novelty factor is showing.

Let me ask you this. Previous map packs excluded, do you think this new add on / expansion is worth $20? I understand that many paid for said previous dlc and now others will get it for free with the purchase of this expansion, but Bungie has done tthings like this in the past too, though not exactly the same. You can buy a map pack now or wait a while for it to be free. Epic says you can buy it now or wait for us to add it to an expansion pack. That is sales in general. Just about everythin...

I'm not a big gears fan, but the pack cost $20. Those who buy it retail get an added bonus. The pack is worth $20 dollars, period.

Please explain why you need to buy dlc to get a plat in any game. I may be missing something, but I thought it was possible with the retail game to get a plat. I have a plat with Resident Evil 5 and my total percentage is only 85% because the dlc makes up the extra 15%. I'm assuming that PoP is the same way that you can get the plat without the dlc, but if not, please enlighten me.

Thanks.

Hey, just a note, but you can see your trophies on the playstation.com site. I do think that the MSA's (MS Achievements) are implemented for easier accessibility than the PST's (PS Trophies). The MSA's come up faster than the PST's. I wish either system would come up with a way to compare more than 1 person at a time though. So i can see how a few friends are doing on a single game at the same time. Who ever can pull this off first takes the lead.

By the way, what's your live tag...

Does Aquanaut's Holiday have English language in it? I have been curious about this too. My kids love these wildlife games.
