PS3 owners (Specify if you are also a 360 owner like I am), how many PS3 retail, disk based games do you currently own?
I own 16 at the moment. Some I play once a month or so, some, a few times a week. Re5 is taking all the time now.
I know many acclaim the first game as a great game. I on the other hand did not get very far. The focus on talking and the RPG inspired shooting system turned me off. I had no plans on getting the second, regardless of the system.
I agree that it is not scary. In this day and age, I think we all may have been spoiled and scary is harder to come by. But as far as the game goes? I loved it. I never played RE4 for more than an hour, so that might be why I enjoyed this so much. The only downside in my opinion boils down to 2 things. Some of the QTEs were badly places or timed, coming in segments where you are more prepared to watch a cut scene than play it. The other is that I think the last boss segment ended 3 fights too...
With inferior graphics, Lack of achievements/trophies, poor online if any at all and diminished possibility of DLC, the Wii version will sadly remain on the shelf, based off of my money.
and I am not the biggest RE fan. The game looks great and plays great. Leveling up the weapons is great. Maybe if I were a bigger fan and got into the previous games, it would be different, but as it stands, I'm loving the experience.
I have multiple reasons. 1) it's still March, way too early to lay a claim like this, even for KZ2. 2) Developers have a chance to make a better campaign than this one. Rico is a useless pain, any of your AI buddies could be replaces with a bullet resistant deer and serve the purpose and the design is built on cheap, not challenging. This leads to frustration, not fun. It seems like GG thought that making segments of difficulty the likes of the Spartans in their last stand in 300 is fun. It's...
I play Champions: return to arms and Buzz: mega quiz frequently. My son still loves Dark cloud 2. There are great experiences to be had on PS2 software that no one has been able to recreate "yet" on current gen consoles. There is a new Buzz, yes, bit we all like the older one better.
Now, I'm thinking they announced a partnership and then started developing games from scratch for the PS3. So my guess for an MMO, a 3 to 4 year development process? so maybe next year we'll have our hands on a game?
Add trophies and scrap the Konami ID and replace it with PSN authentication, I'll buy it again. Hell I may even buy it new to make sure the Devs get a kick in, but they should have got it right in the first place.
I'm not complaining about the PS controller, but the DS3 is not as precise as the DS2 was (In my hands) and this is because it does not provide as much resistance to button presses and analog stick movement. In shape and form, yes, they are the same. That is not the issue. So in response. I didn't complain about the DS or the DS2 controls. Do the third party controls have full functionality with the game? IE. sixaxis tilt functionality. As a general question, does anyone feel the DS3 could be...
I need a new PS3 controller. It's not the button layout or the positions. It's that the PS3 controller does not provide enough resistance. Example. The analog sticks are too easy to move. A stiffer stick would provide more accurate control. I know you can adjust the sensitivity and all, but it's not the game that is the issue. It's the controllers excessive loose controls. The buttons are also loose and light to press. A little more stiffness would be a welcome addition.
from the comments. It's not cheating if you prefer this scheme and play the campaign, right? Either way, I see it like this, the PS2 controller was better for FPS shooters to me. The buttons and sticks were stiffer, providing more resistance. The PS3 controllers are loose and over sensitive. I have a USB to PS2 adapter and played the KZ2 demo with it and it was a lot more precise. I plan to use this when it comes out and I will be online. Not saying I'm a god or anything, before that gets tak...
Even the guy that reviewed this seems like he rushed his work to be the first to shoot it down. Didn't even check his grammar.
To a fellow Steelers fan.
Not everything you said is accurate. Not everyone using a 360 has a mic. You assume everyone bought a new system. Used and refurbished systems do not have this luxury. I bought 2 used 360s and had to buy a wired ear piece and then later a wireless.
The arcade SKU is the only one retail without a HDD, but again, used and refurbished ones are sold sans attached storage. Also, as the family friendly priced SKU, the arcade is a major factor in the re...
Ok, 2 different names, fine with that. The anger it generates? Seems excessive. "I hate when people call her Laura" is strong for a fictional game character. I found it odd that people were more concerned that she was called Laura than the fact that her career is washed up.
Next topic please.
You would be amazed at some of the creativity people have put into their maps. There are lazy people, true, but the gems would rise easily to the top.
If it's anything like the Far Cry 2 editor, you can make robust levels as long as your willing to invest a little time and effort into it. I have made several and there are hundreds available. Let's make it happen.
I find it odd that people are really correcting this person fro calling her Laura instead or Lara. I could care less how you spell it, If they call her Laura and the game is actually good, Hooray for all. Maybe old Ms Croft should pass the business off to a younger apprentice to give the game new life. Show her all old with those Guns hanging down to her lap giving advice to a set of tomb raiding twins (this would allow co-op play) and change the name. Tomb Raider is not a popular name these ...
My mother got a summer place at Port Clinton after she retired. It's a SLOW town with very little happening. Restaurants actually close for the winter because it is more of a summer spot. The biggest thing there is Cedar Point amusement park (Which is a big deal). So having been to the area, I can see the neighbors calling the cops with someone rocking too loud. It reminds me of a modern day Mayberry (Andy Griffith). Everyone there is very polite, as long as your are too.
