...and watching greedy corporate slobs at Game$top raking in more revenue from a used console game than the developers by having it get traded in and resold multiple times. Used games on consoles is out of control. With PC there is virtually no used games. As it seems, piracy is relatively small compared to the mess at Game$top. If you think consoles have it better for the developers than the PC, you need a serious reality check.

Well PSN wins because it is free, even if it is technically inferior to Xbox Live. There is no good reason to pay for online play apart from a good MMO, and this is especially true when your dashboard will be full of annoying advertisements, even for Gold members. The Xbox360 is the only platform that charges for online play. Shameful cash grab is shameful, but the masses lap it up.
New Super Mario Bros. U, the one game that will play VERY similar to the one on 3DS. That is two games for the same series with nothing overly different apart. I have a feeling Nintendo will milk this series at full force. Seriously, there are so many 2D Mario games a person can stomach. Push the cow too hard and the milk will turn sour.

I agree that game developers and publishers should respect the core gamers, but as a long time core gamer myself that is not going to happen though. You say we are the lifeblood of the industry, but that was true a long time ago. Today times have changed and we have become a vocal minority. The casual gamers are now the majority and make up the intended audience for the future of gaming. Bore. I have backward compatibility on my PS3. I have no reason to buy any of these. It is Sony praying on the owners of a non-backward compatible PS3 (the majority of all PS3 owners) to buy the same games they already have on PS2 just to suck more money out of their pockets. If it wasn't for Sony discontinuing backward compatible PS3s, none of this would happen. What a shameful cash grab. I am guessing trophies and HD graphics are good enough for people to lap it up.
