Racism toward non-existent, fictional space creatures? Oh no, how dare they...
Way to go Bethesda. Keep on selling out to the Xbox kids.
YES. I agree with most of this article. The filler, repetitive kill waves of cookie cutters bore the hell out of me. The linearity and the lack of exploration in the story is just painful when playing the games two or three times for a Platinum. Give the player some choice. Branch out the pathway to have him decide which path he should go, and add alternate events and cut-scenes to make the story more dynamic. It's not that Uncharted games are bad, but they leave so much room for improvem...
I am going to pirate this when it comes out.
GTA V and Borderlands are the only games out of the list I am sure to get. I MIGHT try South Park but given it's being developed by Obsidian, which has a track record of sub-par sequels, I'll have to wait and see. I love South Park but the games usually suck.
FF8 is one of my favorite games in the series. Burrrrrn.

Sony should include one in every system. Big mistake on their part for requiring the consumer to purchase an expensive memory card just to even PLAY a game. It's a given the system isn't selling as much as Sony wanted. Like, jeez, I was a bit surprised that Sony bundled a charger and AR cards with the system, but no memory card...
@sich92
Really? Who cares? Certainly nobody that wants the game. The game looks nowhere near as bad as the best looking PS1 game in existence. The art style in the game is more important to me than the prowess of technology. You just play games only for zOMG LUK @ DAT RELISTIK GRAFIKS LOLZOMEG!!!1!oneoneonetwothree
This game looks WAY better than the first Darksiders. Good for them. One of like only 3 games I'll buy for the rest of the year. Looking forward to it.
It sounds like the game will be just as good as it looks. I am looking forward to it.
No. Not even CLOSE.
Pretty much all the things you listed about Uncharted are easily found in any other game:
-A shooter
...with repetitive kill wave sequences and cookie cutters like the 4,173 other shooters on the market
-A platformer
...with weak platforming elements that most platform games do better
-A beat-em-up
...hardly a beat-em-up. Even the beat-em-up sequences are few. Most of the game is shooting cookie cutters behind covers a...
But what about Uncharted itself? What was original about it? It certainly wasn't the 8-hour campaign, the linearity, the cover-based shooting, the light platforming elements, the Nolan North voice acting, the regenerative health system and checkpoints that hold your hand through the game's toughest parts, nor was the tacked on multiplayer with the same old game modes that has been done to death in 3,629 other shooters...It sounds like Uncharted is a wannabe of something.
PC. Cheaper games, better discounts and more exclusives than every console in existence. The hardware MAY require you to spend more money upfront, but gaming on a PC is getting cheaper...while consoles increases significantly in pricing by the console generation. Any console kiddie that thinks the PS3 has better value than PC is ignorant and delusional.
Yeah but Uncharted is nothing special apart from the graphics, sad to say. I guess as long as it looks good you like any mediocre 8-hour third person shooter with no depth and no substance. I like games that are meaningful like Amnesia.
Wait, Dora? You're kidding.
One of the few games I enjoyed playing from this generation.
That is because the majority of gamers nowadays are drunken rednecks and horny housewives from the Great Plains. They don't want to play a survival horror, they just want shooters with guns, explosions, and non-stop fast paced action. Just add zombies and they will all buy it in droves.
Who cares? Go look at porn. It has REAL people in it, oh and they are bare naked. There has to be something wrong with you if you can only get off to some non existent, pixellated computer-rendered polygon.
