Very long, but great comment Apocalypse! Sairento needs a sequel with a fleshed out story mode, because that flipping in VR is incredible!
Blood and Truth was an absolute top notch AAA from London Studio that didn't get enough attention. I lovingly refer to it as The Getaway VR, although a more guided experience.. the acting, storytelling, action was AAA without a doubt.
We already have confirmation that London Studio is working on a AAA PSVR2 title....
FINALLY someone who acknowledges the greatness of Gremlins 2 NES!! One of my favorite movie tie-in games of all times. I have fond memories of both the game and the movie from when I was a kid. I was playing it again just a couple of months ago, and it still holds up very, very well!
I rarely see people mention Gremlins 2 when discussing great NES games and I love you for that!
*edit - Sunsoft really was a fantastic studio. Another favorite, underrated la...
With PS5 load times, that would make the transitions between areas soo fast, which was the biggest issue with the original PS Home!
Well, I did use a bluetooth keyboard for my PS4 to use with the Communities.
Through a little bit of googling, I did find that PS5 does support both Mouse and Keyboard, although most games don't. That's good news if they implement it for Discord.
The advantage of Discord also is that people who primarily chat on the console can continue to chat with people (like me) who chat via PC more often. Sub-discussions can be set up, all that good stuff. ...
This is awesome. There are some really awesome Playstation communities out there on Discord. My personal favorite is PSVR Without Parole (based on one of the top PSVR focused Youtube channels --- shout out to Bryan, AJ and all of the Gamecats! *swipes*)- it has been great for finding a huge community of passionate fans of the more niche PSVR. (Hopefully that changes and becomes bigger w PSVR2!)
This will also be great for the developers who stay in direct contact with the f...
So hyped for PSVR2!
This is going to be an amazing year, and today's announcements should open the floodgates for a ton of other PSVR2 game announcements. Maybe a State of Play soon to showcase some?
Yea, I see he posted a different tweet clarifying that now, but that was not posted in this original tweet or any of the replies. I apologize for not scrolling through all of his Twitter account.Thanks.
Nice. I really like Avalanche's Apex system, it can make some pretty stunning environments. Hopefully it'll translate well into a racing game! (assuming that's what he's working on)
@CS7 If Thief II, Control, Rise of the Tomb Raider and others like that can make IGN's list, then sure why not Astrobot VR? I'd consider it one of the best platformers ever made, yes, in what it accomplishes in a way that no other platformer has done before.
It's not even in my top 50, many are SNES games and PS1 rpgs for me.... but I'm sure I could find a place for Astrobot VR between 50-100.
@PhillyDillyDee Thanks for that catch, I mis...
Most everyone who has played Astrobot Rescue Mission on PSVR will be quick to say it stands among the best Mario games, in how it revolutionized platformers in that VR space. It's incredibly clever how it uses the 3D space around you cor puzzles and platforming, that
flat screen Mario game just can't do. (I'm not even talking about Astro's Playroom on PS5) It simply is a best of class platformer.
The lack of Astrobot Rescue Mission shows either a st...
@porkChop Thanks for the clarification. That is indeed confusing since they are regularly tasked with Rockstar ports and CJ's street in San Andreas shares the same Grove Street name (although after looking it up, its actually named after Grove Street in Gainesville FL, where the studio is located. Coincidence or purposeful?). Either way, Rockstar is giving them money and should be cut off after that mess of a remaster!
Rockstar should just completely close Grove Street after that mess and reinvest that studio's money into New England's Bully 2 development.
This was a great read and really sounds like Bully 2 was going to be something special!
Yea, they suck to step on, which is why we keep ours on the dining table whenever it isn't being used.
My wife doesn't care for or understand the appeal of Legos either, but she's just happy to see all the bonding time it creates between me and my daughter. Use that as your selling point towards her! ;)
Yep. It's great that I have the "excuse" of my 5 year old, but I really don't need it.
I don't see myself pretend playing with the characters like I used to, but I have a blast building things.
No shame in it, man! Go for it, get you some. :)
But you know they're more likely to focus their modding efforts on Tifa.
The PS3 also gave birth to the Ellen Page classic, Beyond Two H̶o̶l̶e̶s̶ Souls!
@garos82 you actually did spell Demon's Souls wrong! XD
Nailed it.
...and I absolutely loved Lost Legacy, but you're 100% correct.
Exactly @Rhythmattic Could you imagine if The Order was handed over to a studio like Santa Monica?! The Order 1886 set up a really nice setting and lore... now the idea could be pushed to the next level by one of Sony's high tier studios. It may be too much to ask to get one of the big dogs on it, but one can dream.
It could even work out that someone like Santa Monica create a smaller team just for creative vision, then hand over the busy work of building that world ...
Np, great read! I also owned and enjoyed the heck out of Super C back in the day.
I'd also add Metalstorm to my list of underappreciated titles. :)
