Yeah, 60$ is way to overpriced. I'll just wait to get the headset that comes free when you buy socom.
Hopefully this game is worthwhile. The Halo series has been nothing but one massive dissapointment after the other. This game is just the hack n slash of fps. Please MS, do something to transcend its twitch shooter roots - and I'm not talking about making an RTS clone out of the series (seriously lame)
What nobody mentions is the fact that Wii could have hit the 10 million mark in the states a long time ago, it just chooses not to.
Because of the declining value of the dollar Nintendo ships more Wii to other territories. That is why it is in such short supply stateside.
This isn't really a victory for MS. There is still much more demand for the Wii in America.
What you fail to realize is PS3 is more business saavy at these matters than MS. The view PSN as a platform to sell their media and other services. It is a selling point, not an excuse to rip ppl of for 4$ a month. They would rather have them spend that 60$ a year on a game which in term might lead them to purchase add on features or DLC.
A lot of ppl aren't taking into account that the Wii could sell a lot more consoles stateside if the choosed to, however demand is so high world wide they would rather choose to ship them elsewhere.

For all intents and purposes, my life would be easier if I just owned a 360, but I can't. All my freinds own 360's, but for some reason I decided I wanted to go the road less travelled and get a PS3.
Now a console, IMO, is a long term investment. And, while right now the 360 has the advantage in the software dep., this is going to change drastically in the years to follow.

Coming from someone who actually played the demo, I can safely say this game is mediocre as hell. The whole nectar thing is just a gimmick. The weapons are boring as all hell. The AI is lame. There is a reason why this game was delayed, and it wasn't positive.
As much of a PS3 fan as I am, even I can't stand behind this game. It is the Perfect Dark Zero of PS3.
As much as I would like to disagree, the man does have a point. This is the system that is bringing Viva Pinata 2 to the masses, they must know what they are talking about!

A 120gb HDD costs 180$, that's 1.50$ per 1gb of space.
As a PS3 owner I could get at least 400gb hdd for that kind of money, which is about .50$ a gb.

I don't know what ppl saw in this game, I thought the demo was garbage. It was a mediocre shooter drowning in a sea of mediocre shooters. The game did nothing to set itself apart from the dozens of other shooters that do nothing to innovate. The weapons were boring. Doesn't really feel like you're firing a gun.
W/O nectar it would be impossible to make out the enemies. W/O you're bright yellow jumpsuit it would be impossible to make out your fellow troopers. Nectar is a gimmick...

Really though, they should just make a game where you play as Peter Molynuex, where you can make outlandish claims about games that never come to fruition.
But really, I don't have a problem w/ his sims style approach to an RPG, just as long as these features actually correspond to the rest of the game. Are there going to be consequences and rewards to your choices or is it just a gimmick?
Really though, its sad how many 360 owners complain that graphics aren't "colorful" enough for them. They've obviously been playing too much Halo, who's color scheme is a joke.
But maybe they'll make a Gears tie in w/ Viva Pinata, that should satisfy you guys.
Like i've said b4, things are different since GeoW1 came out. There is more competition in the 3rd Person Shooter dep, this game being one of them along w/ Socom and Red Faction.
The reason I think this could give Gears some competition is because it looks to deliver in the one area that Gears fails at - fluid movement. The one thing that always annoyed me about Gears is how restrictive your movement is.
I wonder which version of the Unreal Engine this game is us...
