Graphics have never been this games strength. Just like another twitch shooter called Halo.
The selling point on this game for me is the innovative online gameplay, creative weapons, and original XP system.
Not to mention the 2 story modes, 8 player co-op, and 60 player online.

Personally, I play with a tight knit group of about 20-30 freinds on GearsofWar and almost 10 of them are female. One girl I play with I would rank in the top 5, she gets moving headshots constantly w/ a snipe.
I think by toning the series down they're doing themselves a disservice. People look to Gears for hardcore gameplay.

Anyone who caught the Playstation Day footage could see that even though the graphics are vastly improved in R2 they are still a bit of an eyesore. The character animations are stiff, there are a lot of rough edges, etc.

Didn't you see the Playstation Day footage? It still had the same kind of eye sore graphics as the first one. It definetly looks uglier in motion.
That being said, these graphics are still a vast improvement over the last game.

Gears2 is in a league of its own, you can't compare a twitch shooter to a stealthy shooter like Gears. Gears is all about the cat and mouse. As great as Gears is, I still think Resistance 2 will come out on top as the more improved sequel.
What about Tekken 6, The Agency, Infamous, White Knight Story etc.

Honestly though, you have to give GTA some credit. It is after all an adult game that only appeals to children. Kids use this game to live out their adult fantasies. Personally, a game like GTA holds little value for me, its just a novelty that wears thin after a few minutes of game play. I need more substance from a game.

MS has been trying to make an MMO for the 360 since it came out. They have even started dev. 2 of them but they flopped b4 they could even be released!
