I thought The Last of Us was better looking from a technical and artistic point of view (when looking at consoles). Crysis 2 and 3 had great textures and stuff, but looked boring. Plus they got rid of exploration and destructibility.
The people who get this most likely don't game on PC, so it doesn't matter. I would say BF4 is going to keep people around for longer than this game. Most people aren't PC gamers nor going next-gen this year (even though I am).
Some funny parts, some annoying parts... sounds like Jack Black had too much sugar.
It depends on how it's handled... Bioshock Infinite is a shooter too. I see nothing wrong with the genre as long as the devs are creative. Gears is a good series besides Judgement, which was just a money grab, but the same goes for the last God of War.
God of War III was the worst one out of the main 3 IMO. Kratos was just an unreasonable brute instead of badass, the ending was lame (the suicide then body disappearing), his relationship with Pandora was forced/underdeveloped, the overall formula was getting old, etc.
I like the second one best, and I think there's plenty of games this gen that are better. TLOU, Mass Effect 2, Uncharted 2, Red Dead, Portal 2, and others are leagues above it.
I hope it's good, but so far it seems like a Mass Effect and Borderlands hybrid. I hope EA takes notice and does a ME spinoff like this between sequels that's in this vein. I'd rather explore that world as of now.
I was hoping this was a bad joke :( The Bombcast will now forever be different and they said he just had his wedding in the last week or two... crazy.
@Hicken
I never said I would buy just anything... I literally said "any system I deem worthy", if I wanted to buy anything then I'd have a Wii or Wii U. The very hardcore would want to play all major AAA titles and indie games, not just the ones on a singular system. Not doing this doesn't mean you're not a "real gamer" though.
@Dravidian
I get your circumstances, but those don't apply to all hardcore gamers. Also, I didn't say I'll get both systems at once; I'll get one Nov and the other Feb. Money wise, that's no problem for me but that obviously depends on each person. I want to play all great games so I'll get all the systems I deem worthy, which right now is everything besides the Wii U.
The VERY hardcore will get both consoles (and play on PC) since they (we) want to play with all games including exclusives. I wouldn't want to miss Infamous or the next Naughty Dog game nor Dead Rising 3 or Sunset Overdrive. It's about the games, I don't care about the companies. That's like saying I'll only watch Showtime and screw HBO... they both have good shows.
They didn't do anything that genius... MS blew off their own leg and Sony just watched. Nintendo and MS are screwing themselves while Sony stays the same and looks better in-comparison.
This is a somewhat pointless article, but it would pointless whether they named exclusives or not. Not everything needs to be X1 vs. PS4.
If Halo 5 doesn't count (which I agree with) then The Order shouldn't count either... all they showed was a boring trailer with no gameplay. I hope the game is good, but they might as well not been there. Also, Project Spark looks very interesting if done right.
This article is just flamebait since their awards/nominations were pretty even. If anything, Titanfall has been leading the way from most sites I've seen. I plan to have both consoles by March though.
"Least worst" is a fairly normal expression.
I thought most people being mad at the changes were just being contrarian, but the family share thing did sound cool. However, it wasn't worth all those rules for used/rented games and the dumb 24 hour thing.
The article is hardly flamebait from what I read, and what's wrong with a site being indie? I guess you just want your articles from the top 1% of sites that are owned by CBS, Viacom, etc rather than people who simply have a passion for what they do and probably aren't making any money.
I love Battlefield, but considering it's never really had a good campaign nor AI, his opinion on the subject doesn't mean much to me... not to mention he's a producer, not a programmer. A programmer from Bungie or one of the FEAR guys would mean much more.
You can plug in an external HDD via USB 3.0.
The fact that they're saying different things with no official statement makes it a rumor. How do we know which person is telling the truth or if they didn't change things from the backlash? Sony hasn't said they won't charge for full games either, but in both cases the absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence.
"Killer app"? Who talks like that... who calls games applications? The X1 doesn't really need saving, the mainstream didn't even know about the retarded rules to begins with, which was the main bad thing concerning the system.
