Well, BF3's campaign doesn't exist to me since it's so bland/lame and I spent $60 on it plus premium and never regretted it because I've spent 50+ hours playing it.

If the multiplayer is good enough to play for months and months then it's worth $60, thinking it HAS to have a campaign is old school logic. Time is more valuable than money.

I liked upgrading the town as Ezio. I'll probably play this after the holiday rush.

If a hundred bucks is that big of deal then maybe those people should find a cheaper hobby and that's coming from someone who got a PS3 for $600... a hundred bucks difference is nothing. Both consoles look fun so I'm going to get both, the Wii U is the cheapest but looks lame so I'm skipping it for now.

@starchild

Your first point doesn't contradict mine, I know what they said. No, I don't "care about VR". It looks cool and I want to try it out, but games and the quality of that game comes first.

If they're serious then they need to come on console since that's where millions of gamers are and billions of dollars. Also, the Kinect + Rift seems like a good marriage, more appealing than the Omni + Rift from what I've seen so far....

The Rift guys made it sound like they cared more about mobile than consoles going by the last thing I saw from them, which is idiotic. Consoles should be their priority, that's where the money is. As someone who rarely PC games I wouldn't drop $300+ for a Rift if it only works for certain PC games and nothing else.

I'm shocked people are this excited for a game where they only showed a cutscene of people shooting in fog, but good for you guys I guess lol.

Netflix and Hulu still seem like a WAY better option. I'd rather step on glass than stream anything from MTV, BET, or VH1. Nick has Legend of Korra... and what? All in the Family reruns? No thanks. If they'd made a deal with FX, HBO, Showtime, or AMC then that would've been cool.

When talking about other mediums like comics, movies, and TV "fanboy" doesn't seem to be used in a derogatory way for the most part. In video games it's an insult, and it's usually about platforms/systems, not liking a certain game... at least from my experience.

Why not get an extra long HDMI cable off Amazon for less than 20 bucks and hookup your HDTV & PC together? The Steambox and Ouya seem pointless.

It takes a year for them to get good?

I want BF4 with the higher player count and I don't PC game, plus DR3 seems fun and apparently Watch Dogs this gen looks like crap. Not to mention, Infamous and Titanfall are early next year, so I plan to get both next-gen consoles soon. If next-gen system sales sucked then devs would focus on this gen even longer, no thanks.

Yeah, this video is a stretch when it comes to religion. The kid doesn't care about the toy because he's bitten and knows he doesn't have much time left... he's not worried about stealing and going to hell lol. Nearly apocalyptic stories involve fate, destiny, purpose, and existentialism.

This is just my opinion but...

1. "Game Journalist" sounds pretentious, critic sounds better. No one really says "Film Journalist", do they?

2. Comparing a guy who made one fairly good game to Mozart is so overly hyperbolic it's hard to take the writer serious.

3. Both guys were wrong and childish. Beer more so for starting it, but you can't tell someone to kill themselves and that your life is way better and stil...

I checked out the Iron Man and Hulk ones further and they look crazy. I don't usually PC game but I might get GTA on Steam sooner or later. The Big Foot one looks lame though.

@ziggurcat

"Team death match" is an oversimplification of what the game mode really is. It's first person mercs with guns going against third person spies who have to use stealth while they both go after objectives, which is VERY unique.

The only thing that comes close is the Batman multiplayer that's slightly ripping it off. If you think that's the same as COD or BF deathmatch then you have no idea what you're talking about. That&#...

Yep, because every game has Spies vs. Mercs.

Lucas hasn't made a good movie since the 80's and Spielberg is hit & miss, so I don't particularly care about their opinions either way. Perhaps they're both somewhat bitter that their best days are behind them and a new medium is taking over?

I love them, but I might say I like Rockstar better because of Red Dead and GTA. Uncharted 2 and TLOU are great. Uncharted 1 was a good start, but not phenomenal. I would probably say Valve if they made games faster and Bioware if they didn't screw up ME3's ending, but all of them are great. Also, Ubisoft usually gets underrated to me, but they're not in their league quality wise sometimes (e.g. the last Ghost Recon).

I don't get why we keep having to see game critics in videos. I'd rather just hear their voice instead of them needlessly stand there in order to help their lame internet fame. Even worse when it looks like they're pregnant and haven't showered in days. Not trying to sound mean, but some effort in if you're going to be on cam.

The weakest consoles sold the most for the last two generations... Wii and PS2. The mainstream doesn't care about power.

4620d ago 23 agree11 disagreeView comment

The average American doesn't even know what an Xbox One is yet... hell, they're still trying to figure out what a Wii U is. Also, people forget everything quickly.

Gamers were pissed at Sony for getting hacked and trying to hide it, telling us to get second jobs for their $600 console, and other stuff but that's hardly remembered now. All big companies are a-holes, having an allegiance to any of them is dumb.
