Yeah I’m 40 and I’ve been playing since the beginning too. I’ve beaten every Metroid but nothing has been as good as super Metroid. Hopefully this will be that good.

Personally I think 8 has a good story and triple triad is always great. The gameplay itself is not good at all though. Who thought infinite magic was a good idea is beyond me. In 7 you didn’t feel godly until you did some exploring and discovered certain things like double cast, double summon, reduced mp cost and the like.

Well I expect nothing less with the way gamers are these days. This isn’t the “ 3 continues” generation. This isn’t even the Ninja Gaiden generation. More people from those gens probably beat Demon Souls, Bloodborne, Hades, and the like than any other. I’ve never seen average placed on a 5. But still, it’s all personal opinion. None of it is right, nor wrong.
Sir, if you look at the page it says halo is a 3/5. On this page in N4G it has it as a 6/10. I’m saying you can’t do that because RATINGS don’t translate well if you suddenly change the scale. 3/5 is a average game. 6/10 is below average. I said 4/5 is an 8 in my original post…. I think putting a 6.0 up there is misleading. You can’t take a 1-5 rating and throw it directly into a 1-10 rating.
In that case a 4/5 game would be a 8. Anyone could tell you there’s many games that’s better than 8 but not quite 10. That’s where 9 operates. With a wider scale you can fine tune your rating. With a lower scale you are generalizing. Again, that’s why you can’t just say “Hmmm… 3 out of 5? Well 10\5=2x3=6!” when it comes to a review. I prefer the 100 scale when it comes...
