It’s not losing “ownership”. That was worded that way for dramatic effect. PlayStation owners will know this as “restore licenses”. It’s an option that’s in the account section. Has been on PS3 and each console since.
Even if the estimates are a little off, Xbox is doing incredibly bad in comparison. They really should become 3rd party. They’ve done about the same numbers every generation but the 360. I just don’t understand the logic behind people thinking it’ll ever be different at this point. How many times can you have the worst record in the league before you stop thinking you’ll be the number one team next season?
YOU are the one that’s lost the point. You’ve been smelling the wrong things. They’ve made a lot more selling games on PlayStation than anything they’ve SOLD on Xbox in a long time. They are already on the edge of the console space. Why leave money on the table? Or do you think they should ignore the sales and try to go back to exclusivity? In that case you never even knew the plot.
PlayStation generates sales, period. It’s simply a powerful competitor in the console space.
Microsoft would be crazy to not see the power of PlayStation and seriously consider going full multiplatform.
They realized how much money is lost on games not being bought. Call of duty prints money and you gave it away on a sub. Especially for something that was going to sell anyway. If you ask me, Forza Horizon, Gears, Halo, and other flagship games shouldn’t be on there. It should be for games that may struggle with sales or don’t have that impulse buy attraction. Microsoft would make more money and gamespass wouldn’t have to go up to offset losses.
I am personally over call of duty and ...
Personally this is my favorite AC by far. Will gladly buy this.
This with PSVR can be game changing
I just feel that, as a PC owner that bought every console for exclusives that I couldn’t get on pc and multi plat games, I don’t know who this is for. Is this supposed to be a “baby’s first computer” type of situation? Are they going to charge for virus protection because we know EXACTLY what websites people go to when they get a browser. Think about a lot better online experience? Then for me I’d be buying a half pc that doesn’t do half of what my 4090 32 GB does. Are they going to do the 2 ...
I mean of course it does.
Socom came back out and nobody bought it. Everyone was too call of duty invested. Just in case you people haven’t caught how this works, your game bombs when you haven’t had enough successes before hand and you are likely to be shutdown. Game was solid to me, unfortunately it took more patience and thought that call of duty. It is not coming back unless call of duty dies.
Day one.
Never doubted it.
A name I thought I’d never see again
All possibilities because that is a part of WHY market research is done. To increase profits by targeting certain individuals, areas, cultures, demographics, blah, blah.
I can’t wait to see the outrage on this and how horrible Sony is, WHOOPS! This is good old Microsoft. I said market research is in just about everything and people swore I was defending Sony when I was simply telling them business and economics. Want to know HOW they choose who, what area, so on and so forth to offer the “Deal” to? Market research! They know who is most likely to buy a second or third console based on YOUR spending habits. Based on how many accounts you’ve been connected to. ...
Day one.
I’ll say this. Cyberpunk had a tumultuous start on console. Even if it had sold like crazy, that whole almost unplayable fiasco and being given no questions asked refunds made a lot of people not look back.
When it comes to PC, people are a lot more forgiving of things like that, especially on Steam, because of the return policy. I really think console manufacturers should implement the exact same refund policy. Was it played under X time? Refund it. It makes people take that risk o...
Day one
The future of employment in gaming just took a hit. Scratch? Dent? Too early to know for sure, but damage was definitely done, and someone usefulness just dropped some percentage points.
The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bough...
