I am sure it will look great on the PS3.
BFBC2 looked great on consoles considering what the game engine was doing...
Frost Bite 2.0 engine is much more advanced so it should look better than Frost Bite 1.0 easily.
And if that's the case, console gamers will be in for a nice treat
This is not an issue.
Me personally stopped using my game console as a optical media player when my first PS2 and Xbox1 died.
It shortens the life span of your console system.
I bought a dedicated player for that...and now those players are collecting dust for reasons I listed below...
The Wii did not play DVD's or Blu-Ray and look at the sales and how it outsold the other systems that played optical media.
The reality is online streaming o...
@Itt0
"Just hope it doesn't burn down a house like the original xbox"
Was that not the power cord and not the console itself...

@Rainstorm
"Nintendo always has the least powerful hardware and with them starting the next gen it will hold...
Funny. That's what gamers said of the PS2 when it was launching based on the faulty disk drive in the PS1 and over heating that caused the drive to warp (how many gamers said they hope Sony would not repeat that mistake with the disk drive in the PS2 after the PS1 issues?)
Seems you forgot that ;-)
Btw. The first Xbox had no major hardware issues. It was built rock solid. It was just HUGE.
During that generation it was the PS2 that had the hardware issues....
Love these type of games.
This is no surprise. BF games have always attracted a older gaming audience while COD has mostly young players.
Another great reason to play BF3
"Sony is a hardware company and Microsoft is a software company.
Sony will always have the edge in hardware and Microsoft with software."
And yet the PS1 was weaker than the N64, and the PS2 was weaker than the Xbox1 and Gamecube.
Where was the "edge" in hardware? Sony never had the edge in hardware except THIS generation only...which brings this interesting tidbit...
If the new Wii is released next year, then Sony once ag...
If MS wants to make a more powerful console than SOny, they can easily as they have more capital than Sony.
Plain and simple.
Will MS spend the money? Who knows...but when they buy companies for billions...don't think they won't spend the money on console next generation that is more powerful.....
The truth of the matter:
The PS3 was Sony's ONLY system to e the most powerful during its generation.
The PS1, PS2 were all weaker.
The possibility of the next Xbox being more powerful is very Possible...MS has more money than Sony to invest in this area.
Only the PS3 from SOny this generation was the most powerful console for Sony...
The Wii was the only console from Nintendo that was the weakest.
Seems people have short...
Nor can the PS3. Notice all the heavy graphical game son the PS3 do not use real anti-aliaising.
They use a post production process called MLAA instead.
These consoles have limited bandwidth and memory and AA and HDR for example use lots of it.
SO this is why you see more and more games using these "tricks" such as MLAA and NAO32 to save bandwidth and memory allocation.
How many games use REAL AA with graphic intensive PS3 games?
It...
But when a Sony 1ST party developer says the same thing its gospel?
Here is the reality. All these consoles are maxed out...
Anytime you hear a developer say this, they are doing this for PR purposes only for the company they are making an exclusive game for.
Then the following week you here a 3rd party developer NOT paid by Sony or MS say they want next generations consoles ASAP.
IMO I trust the opinion of a developer that is NOT on the companies payr...
The PS3 cannot do "native" 1080p for 99% of its game library like the Xbox360. It up-scales to 1080p. Different animal altogether.
Almost all games that are "native" 1080p on the PS3 and Xbox360 are PSN or XBL games or games that are not graphic intensive with static backgrounds etc.
You will never EVER see a game like Uncharted or Gears of War or Crysis 2 or BF3 etc on those consoles running native 1080p...unless you want to watch a slide show... ...
"Slowly, but surely, we're starting to piece together what's going on inside that mysterious white box known as the Wii U. IBM was a little coy about the multi-core CPU it was providing, but did tantalize us by mentioning the name "Watson" in describing some of its underlying tech. Now details about the custom Radeon GPU are starting to surface and, while certainly capable, it's not exactly cutting edge. At its heart is a chip similar to the R770 found in AMD's ...
Well if you are into sales for consoles then you might want to use data from Sony and Microsoft financial reports instead of the source you just linked. When you do this, vgchartz is wrong.
Go to the source instead of vgchartz ;-)
@DJMarty
HDMI 1.3 more correctly.
And Sega did the "EYE TOY" almost 12 years ago with the DREAMEYE...So whats your point?
I keep saying this.
Nintendo has to release the WiiU specs and do it soon.
Release the specs already Nintendo....
@dragon
And the real truth is MAG was a mediocre game to being with.
Expect more arrests as these clowns are not exactly harden criminals. They will roll over on each other as soon as they tell them they would face a few years in prison shacked up with a guy name Bubba... http://domaingang.com/wp-co...
and then tell them the accommodation are nothing like their Moms basement.....
It does though. Playing games and watching movies does shorten the life span of the console.
