Facts do not matter on N4G.COM.
Only rumors and when VGChartz suits a persons argument.
It will never EVER matter how much financial data is shown from the very companies accounting staff...if those numbers do not agree with certain people on this site, then those numbers are wrong even though it comes straight from the company itself.
This is where VGchartz for them all of a sudden gains credibility.
"The version shown is probably the PC version, the only one who can afford a resolution and detail definition so high, and incredible particle effects and lighting. THE CONSOLE VERSIONS will show a general deterioration of vision on the screen without affecting the gaming experience, indented on all platforms"
Break out the popcorn because this is going to cause a poop storm on N4G.COM by the usual suspects thinking a certain console should be running the game like ...
"A key part of MS's strategy in the US is looking like they are popular, because Americans are hung up on cool and popular, so they do it anyway!"
wow.....
3D gaming won't really take off for consoles until next geenration
This really comes down to choice
Yes we know Zero Cool, you believe that Crysis 2 on the PS3 should be exactly like the PC version.........
Glasses, console hardware and cost are reasons 3D gaming right now won't become mainstream until next generation.
The majority of consumers already have a HDTV that is not 3D capable. Now to ask them to go and buy another one just to view 3D content and or play games won;t fly...especially in this economy.
Glasses are another major stumbling block for 3D gaming. The cost of those are still too high.
At the price the PS3 is selling for now, they will have a great holiday season.
The Xbox360 will not be getting a blu ray drive. This generation of consoles is practically over. There is no point in MS doing this when new systems are going to be announced very soon
Actually the fact that the PS3 has split memory pools for its architecture is one of its disadvantages compared to the memory setup inside the Xbox360.
Having faster memory is great if latency does not kill you. Moreover, having to fetch memory from two different sources across the bus is not efficient and a reason why most consoles use unified memory and why most software developers ASKED for this.
You can bet your house that the PS4 will have unified memory and not split mem...
It's not like he is going to bad mouth PSN in any way shape or form considering they are closely tied to the Sony brand.
What else is he going to say?
"PSN is terrible..."
LOL
@ps3deo
And we never knew Sony invented and held all the rights to DVR...
Another delusional Fanboy
Once again people on N4G.COM whining which console version looks better when in fact the differences are almost negligible.
You can hardly see the difference, so much so that if you put them side by side and did not mention which system was running which, you could not tell.
Why do you people make a big deal of this when almost all multi-platform games look the same on the Xbox360 and PS3 unless the developer really screws the pooch?
Yet how many Republicans or conservatives made racist comments about Obama since he was elected?
You need a scientific calculator to keep track.
And what about Sarah Palin and her signs with TARGETS on them for Democrat politicians that resulted in one of them getting shot in the head?
Republicans AND Democrats are hypocrites.
@theone26
And yet those games you mentioned hardly use HDR or real time lighting or real time soft shadow effects to go with almost an fully destructible environment.
As a matter of fact, ALL those PS3 games you just mentioned do not have destruction...it's all scripted and linear.
KZ3 for example uses NO HDR at all. Nada.
It uses LDR and NOA32. Is it any wonder it can run in 720p? KZ3 particle effects compared to KZ2 are low resolution. I WAS SHOCKED WHEN ...
So you are trying to tell us (a notion Sony fanboys have been trying to sel) that the majority of consumers that had their Xbox360's RROD on them went out and spent another $300+ on a new one WHEN they could get it replaced or fixed for free?
Really? REALLY? You HONESTLY want rational thinking individuals to believe in this day and age and economy that the average gaming consumer (that makes up the vast majority of console sales) would go out and spend another $300+ on a new Xbox3...
@StanLee
The difference is, COD should be running full 720p if not higher honestly with the dated graphics engine that is running that game. COD is not in any way shape or form rendering the same amount of detail, effects, destruction and vehicles as BF3.
COD running Subhd lacking ALL those features I mentioned above should be a crime.
Let the hating commence....
@theonlylolking
You went full retard...again
How is this opinion when the man used actual data from Sony and Microsoft? Or does VGChartz and other forms of analysis that requires "guessing" now seem more accurate than actual financial data?
Only on N4G.COM folks...only on N4G.COM
