Capcom about three years ago said this in an interview about the Japanese gaming industry needing to change and move forward.
Japanese gaming industry has taken a huge hit this generation because they are sticking to a formula that is no longer relevant outside of Japan. They need to change or the industry in Japan will just be for Japan...

Sony has indeed lost market share this generation.
Things were different the last two generations when Sony had more than 70% of the console market. Now they are in the 30+ percentile. That's a loss.

You people that are SOOO CONCERNED with sales should actually look at the sales numbers released by Sony and MS themselves. Those are the accurate numbers...

UC3 does look better than BF3 on consoles...No argument there...
YET UC3 also is linear and lacks destruction, smaller environments, does not have the sheer amount of vehicles and most of the effects and lighting and soft shadow effects are pre baked and pre calculated unlike BF3.

Based on what I have saw from both? BF3 looks to be the better game overall.
The fact you can use vehicles/jets etc. Use structures as defense, offense wins out easy imo.
MW3 is nothing more than a rehash of all other COD games with poor visuals and physics.
You actually have a very hard time distinguishing the difference between MW2 and MW3...and that's sad.

BF3 will never outsell any COD game. Not possible.
That's reality at the moment.
However we all know based n what has been shown and gameplay which is the better quality game.
If MS wants to release the most powerful console system next generation they can as they have the most capital to do so.
Sony does not actually have a history of releasing the most powerful system.
The PS1 was less powerful overall than the N64 and the PS2 was less powerful than the Xbox1 and GameCube.
It was only the PS3 this generation that Sony had the most powerful console...and it was not by much.
Next generation will be interesting to say the least.
Making a console hard to develop for is insane and another reason Sony themselves went a full 180 with the Vita as that system is developer friendly unlike the PS2 and PS3.
There are HUNDREDS of exclusive PC games that are upcoming and or released so far for the PC gaming format.
The problem is CONSOLE ONLY gamers never heard of them and think they do not exist. There are some amazing Indie PC games that are stellar. And there are PLENTY of them. Actually there are more exclusive PC games then there are exclusive PS3/Xbox360/Wii titles combined.
Remember, N4G.COM does not represent the gaming world LOL.

NONE of those PS3 games you listed did this.
If you can list just one feature in those games that did, I will give you a carrot.
Having more players on board is not game changing, in fact there were games before the PS3 came out that had more than 50 players online for PC gaming.

Ok list but they should have HL2 on it as well as System Shock and CS or Deus X.

This comes down to personal taste and how many of your friends game on which system.
I game on the PC because in the long run it's cheaper and I purchase many games.
Moreover you have the modding community that adds life to many games for years...and adds in gra[hic tweaks on top of it.
Last just to make this short.
Gaming performance. On the PC it is simp;y better all around and the cost of gaming PC's now for a system that will 95% of games near max ...
