You can use ANY gamepad for your PC. Xbox360, Dual Shock and even the Wii controller FOR THAT MATTER.
As a matter of fact, the PC has MORE options for game controls and CHOICE then the consoles. The PC is not tied down to license agreements with a select group of 3rd party companies. There are literally Hundreds of different vendors making controllers of all types for the PC format.
How many are for the Xbox360 and PS3?

For consoles, yes we need next generation systems now.
Would be nice to have console games running 1080p+ 60fps using mostly real time effects with the ability to have larger areas of gameplay with interactive backgrounds without limitations that these consoles now have.

It's VERY common. This is actually not news as this sort of thing has been going on since the PS1/N64 days and maybe even before that.
And this is not just regulated to the gaming industry. The movie industry is FAR WORSE at this type of foolishness.

What they can improve on are physics, more open world and use of real time effects.
Graphics can improve to an extent, but the effects ND wants to put into the next UC game cannot be done on this current console. Makes sense.
It's a very impressive game.
Meanwhile the Xbox360 is still ahead overall in total sales and controls the largest game market that is North America and has taken large amounts of market-share from Sony....
