If thats true...I just lost a lot of respect for Sony. If Geohot is guilty, then prove it in COURT. This $1 crap is clearly a desperation move. If I were the head of Sony games division...I'd sue Geohot as well, but I wouldn't use a b.s. tactic like that.
@socomnick- Sony wants to prove that Geohot takes donations. Which would mean that he makes a profit from hacking. If Sony can prove that Geohot profits from hacking...then the case is a slam dunk for Sony.
Yeah, psychics are generally full of crap. But the N4G psychics who said that Kinect would be a flop and the PS3 was unhackable are the most amusing to me.
As far as the PSP2 is concerned...its too early to know if it will be a failiure or not. For all we know, it has 3D. And might even have better 3D capabilities than the 3DS. Like I said...we don't know.
Yeah, its crazy. I can only imagine how far the 3DS will go.

Does anyone know if you have to buy the game to get the 30-day trial? I heard that you get the 30-day trial AFTER you buy the game...but that makes no sense.
The purpose of a trial is to see if you like the game enough to get the full version. But, in this case, you need to buy the full version of the game in order to get the trial. Its backasswards.

The only thing right now that is set to replace tv programming is Netflix...and I have it on my PS3. The only difference is that I don't have to pay $60 a year ON TOP of the $7.99 Netflix subsciption to use it.
Not suprised. I don't want it to, but commerically, this game will do poorly despite the awesome reviews it may get. The free online play is one of the major reasons why people choose to buy a PS3 over other alternatives.
Btw..has anyone seen ANY advertising for this game on television? I'm shocked that Sony isn't trying to push this as hard as they can considering how great the concept is.

I think its more of a problem with Modern Warfare 2 than it is with hacking in general. Its more prone to glitches and hacks than any other PS3 game I've ever played.
@jaredhart- I think what hes trying to say as that Sony's non-American divisions do a better job in advertising Sony exclusives than SCEA.
And it shows. Europe is Sony's biggest gaming market. Thats why Europeans get the "better" box arts and collector's editions of PS3 exclusives. Actually, Europeans get the better collectors editions of PS3 games PERIOD.

Question: Even if Sony successfully sues these people(and thats a BIG if)...how will that stop the hack thats ALREADY out there?
Sony at the moment KNOWS that they can't do anything about about Geohot's hack. If they change the root key, they'll effectively render all current PS3 software useless. So, they are now relying on FEAR to get people to stop hacking the PS3.
If Sony loses this suit(which is a good possibilty given there past failures...

Thats exaggerating a bit IMO. I know a couple people who hated Heavy Rain...but I wouldn't call it one of the worse of this generation. There are MUCH worse games out there.
