Funny enough, Capcom used a ton of unconventional exploration and an adventure-style inventory system in their D&D beat 'em ups that would work so well for a game like this. I know it'll never happen, but it would be freaking epic.
We hear talk of the space craft that were revealed yesterday and the just-showcased zero-gravity gameplay every year? Really? Turn off the autopilot, dude.
I thought it was alright, but the campaign really failed to wow me. The stages just lacked any real sense of identity to keep them interesting, and I got tired of shooting it out in the same lifeless and derelict industrial areas time and time again.
Hopefully the space-based shooting offers enough freedom to be engaging, rather than a mostly rail-shooting segment. Between that and the zero-gravity segments it could do enough to spice things up. I've been so damn burned out on the series for the past several iterations they definitely need to do something different to hold my attention.
I like the way you think, Geo!
That's the same reason why I held out last year. If this deal goes through I'll absolutely be picking up a copy (or two!)
Awesome. I'll definitely be making use of this.
What are you talking about? The article was published last night.
Agreed wholeheartedly, but people love to be incensed about something. No-one has time for discourse when they could be throwing jabs at one another.
Uncharted 4 can't come soon enough!
It's a shame this doesn't seem to be the finale fans were hoping for.
There's certainly no shortage of them!
Honestly, the Permadeath mechanic in this isn't bad at all. Each character has a set number of life points which can be replenished with the use of an item. So long as you keep your reserve party members leveled up properly and don't just toss your good characters to the wolves constantly you'll be fine.
I thought SOSC was very solid overall, but if you're looking for an exceptional dungeon crawler Experience's Ray Gigant is much better.
Still on the fence about the PS Neo. Can't fault Sony for wanting to release it, but I don't know that enough games will take advantage of the new tech to make it worthwhile.
Man, this series really was a letdown compared to the previous entries in TWD. Gotta wonder if Telltale are spreading themselves too thin these days.
Definitely looking forward to it. The original still looks stunning to this day, and I can't wait to see it rendered in 1080p/60FPS.
I enjoyed Absolution quite a bit, but the more cinematic approach definitely made it feel a bit removed from the things that make a Hitman game so great. I'd like to see Io-Interactive try to find a better balance in a more story-driven title again sometime down the road.
The next game has been in development for way too long. Really hope we see it sometime soon.
The hype is real! Nokoruru looks like an absolute blast to play as. August 23 can't come soon enough!
That'd be awesome. Personally, I'd love to play as Hunk!
