The article is poiting out that that handhelds will have a tough time because of games on smart phones. The Vita may not be out yet but it will be in a month's time and both of them have to be a success because they cater to different types of gamers.

If it's to prove that handhelds are going no where then why is it just the 3DS and not the 3DS and the Vita. It might be even harder for the Vita since it's more expensive than the 3DS.

For people complaining, you bought the game to play on the PSP not the Vita. No one is forcing you to get it at the discount price. This option is similar to a HD remake.

They may be closer for the first time for months but the amount of false alarms they'e had to go through should probably mean that they should not get their hopes up.
