WoW, people are complaining about this. They said it's going to be harder so there's an easy mode for people who find it too hard so whats wrong with that? They didn't say they're dumbing it down. Some people found XIII hard believe it or not.
Usually us europeans get the low end of the stick but things have changed this year.
From the top of my head we got the Dissidia Legacy edition, FFXIII-2 Crystal and Limited editions with pre-order bonuses, Zelda 3DS SKU, White and Silver PS3 and Operation rainfall games.
The only thing we didn't get on time was Catherine which is not till next year.
I'd like to know the reasons behind the decisions.

I think it's partly to do with the split caused by the HD consoles. RPG's do best on the PS consoles and there are 11 Million more 360's in NA than PS3's so that's one of the problems they face compared to the PS2 days.
Also due to costs a lot of them have moved onto the PSP which is not doing as good in the west as it is in Japan and the quality has not been up to par as before.
I think too many devs have given up though. FFXIII with good marketin...
Yea that's what i'm saying. They brought out super and people complained. They brought out AE which had a DLC option and people still complained.
So how can they win? They can't because as i and you've said they've milked many games before just like the ones you listed so people just rage whatever they do and they are partly to blame.
If they limited making new versions to just their fighting games then it can be understandable.

It looks more like a textbook than a guide.
They brought it on themselves. They milked so much that anytime they're trying to be genuine peolpe would look at their past history and instantly rage.
Street Fighter AE brought 4 new characters and you could upgrade via dlc or purchase a new disk. Even with the option of DLC people are still complaining. They could have gone the MK route and release one character per month for 5 dollars each but they get hated on for bundling them altogether for a cheaper price.
That's one nice looking 3DS, even though i prefer the mock up that was floating around.
One question though, why release it now when OoT came out months ago. A lot of people would probably end up having 2 copies of the game because they want this 3DS and bought Oot when it launched.
This would have sold even at the $250 price tag back then but now it's going to interfere with Skwyard sword and the other 3DS games imo.
Of course it's going to decline YOY. Kinect had just laucnhed this time last year and Microsoft had that and Black ops boosting sales.
They're only going to see similar sales imo with a price cut.

I want Gundam vs Gundam. It looks like Dissidia but with Mechs instead.
Vita is more expensive so i doubt it would sell more than the 3DS.
I'm not too bothered about that though. I just want it to get dev support. Piracy killed the PSP's support and i'm sure most people don't want that to happpen again.
If the PSP can sell 70 Million with that disadvantage imagine what the Vita can do with proper support.
FFVII has reached PS2 legendary status. It came out on PSN 2 years ago and hasn't left the top 10 list since.
