I didn't say they need Windows. I said Microsoft. Also Steam OS isn't supposed to be a Windows killer. It's an OS you can put on a lower powered PC, and stream your games from you Windows/Mac/Linux PC to your living room (or other room beside where your PC is). It also is Linux based (like the servers Valve uses), so that means a lot of games will run on the OS.

So you have a point that a lot of Steam users don't have high powered PCs, but you could probably ...

There's obviously something big at play. That or something really small. A steam box like application would be simple if both were on board, but it's really complicated. Steam doesn't need Microsoft, and that's being made abundantly clear with Steam OS. Though Microsoft could use them, and Valve has no reason to turn down more money. Even if it's from the company Gaben and company fled from.

I still think it being a steam box only benefits the current own...

First game isn't as great as 2 or the Presequel. Feels like a proof in concept more that a great game, but I mean it's an alright game. Just know if you tired of it that the next game is a much better and more polished experience.

Please try to stay on topic. I don't necessarily disagree, but come on man. It's like we're debating apples vs oranges, and you come in talking about broccoli.

Honestly this is more a benefit to current Xbox owners. This won't sell Xbox One systems for one really good reason. Why would you pay $300 when you can get the hub for $50? I mean if cross buy happened between the two that'd be another thing, but that'd still be mostly a benefit to current Xbox users. Granted if it meant the Xbox games would be available on steam as well somehow (like Halo 5 or Sunset Overdrive) that'd be big for PC players as well. However as a PC gamer I...

This is how it happened. This is how the Nintendo died.

I'd say the counter to that is what about the Xbox? Of course PS4 is the console of choice right now due to a lot of factors, so it's doing fine. The Xbox is doing ok, but since the PS4 is sitting at a 2:1 lead it's unlikely the Xbox will ever be able to catch up. The lack of exclusives only gives people less reason to get the Xbox One on top of a PS4. If you were to ask me I'd say that we might see things regress back to the way early 90s with only two systems being able to s...

The PC version is the one revealed. Obviously the PS4 version would not be the best one to compare, since the PC version on Ultra would look leaps and bounds better.

Well, as I always say when talking about this game, rule 34 is cheaper.

I think people need to really examin the game before they buy it. These games are admitedly high priced tech demos for the minor featues of the future DOA. There's not a heck of a lot of gameplay from them beyond the borderline softcore porn sim aspects, which aren't interactive beyond picking their outfit. So honestly I don't see why you want to pay $70 for this? I'm sure Team Ninja is hesitant it could sell as well if western journalists touched it, and reported this. People...

It's actually a pretty good character action game. It's not like the Metal Gear Solid games, but that's ok. Though honestly I'm wasting my time talking to a troll with no taste.

I don't think I want to touch anything related to Konami right now. Also I don't think they want any of my money either, since I don't gamble or play mobile games.

It's unfortunate there will never be a sequel.

It's still a much nicer looking, and better running console port.

Also I don't have trouble shooting for .dlls. I hit them every time.

Not sure what country you're from, but you spell PC in an interesting way.

@TheCommentator As you said, it's more new tools for the developers. It can't be stressed though that the PS4 still has the better hardware, which is why the PS4 still has that advantage. It mostly makes the Xbox One better to make games for, which is always a good thing. In the end they'll continue to look similar, but the end of the PS4/Xbox One life cycle is when we'll see the differences.

Also I agree. The game doesn't exactly inspire me, and it does h...

I guess the better video would be one that showed how the framerate held up.

I honestly have no dog in this fight anyway, since I don't want it. Though if I did I'd get it on PC.

I mean that's why DOA Extreme 3 exists. For the horny gamers to oggle at stuff that's just a step down from softcore porn. It sure isn't for the gameplay, because it has just as much as Gone Home.

Because they only make money off the initial Windows purchase, or at purchase of a piece of hardware with Windows on it. After that all the money goes to Steam.

DX12 isn't going to be able to give the Xbox One the boost it needs to outperform the PS4. It'll help with optimization, but it won't help the games look or run much better than they could with DX11. Though there's really not a big graphical issue. The PS4 games have in many cases run a little more smooth, or had slightly better draw distance. This might fix some of the compatibility snags that hit the Xbox, like that hard framerate drop it experienced with Fallout 4 at launch...
