Godmars you say Paytaa's opinion is based on wanting to see Xbox prosper but isn't you're opinion based on wanting them to fail so your opinion is biased also.

Hazardman's comment about Bungie pretty much wraps that up, they are going to be working on the same game for ten years. It is true that they wanted to move away from Halo. But their plan for Destiny kind of makes it seem like they aren't really sure what they want. If they don't do anything bu...

I feel the same. It's just that the site would be a hell of a lot better without all the agenda pushing. You don't like Xbox or Microsoft or whatever, no need to comment where it wasn't needed. Too many fanboy comments are like water torture. It's irritating. How bought get a more appropriate name like PlayStation ftw or something so I know to skip your comments. And every schmoo doesn't know you can write off losses. It's one of those little perks corporate"perso...

With a name like Wallstreet one would think you would have a little more business savvy but this is n4g. So let me break that offer down for you a bit. Over the years, and even now, you've probably noticed big price reductions when a new model of something releases. AMD is about to drop the die size on their chips. That means consoles made with the newer chip will be much cheaper to make. Since the more expensive consoles made earlier lose value at that point, one way to get more of that ...

It's a timed exclusive so you will have a chance to buy it. And I believe it most likely would have sold fine if not for the exclusivity deal. I haven't seen the game sales for the month so it could be too many exclusives at once. And then there was Fallout. But it doesn't make a lot of sense.

I think this shows how dumb people can be. By all indications this is a very good game. Sony fans are silly for boycotting a game, as many have said they will, because of exclusivity when they applaud every PlayStation exclusive. But if the complaints of Sony fans are the reason Xbox gamers didn't buy it they are far more stupid.

It seemed people were excited when it was announced but then it sells so little. I hope this was more about a crowded field and not turning a...

I could see them releasing new consoles by 2019. That is about where I thought they would and it could be sooner. The days when PC was superior on the high end but consoles could do alright in the middle are gone. This time next year will see $200 5TFlop GPUs. With the new APIs consoles will look outdated compared to budget machines in two years. Optimization won't help because the PC will have the same low level optimization.

There are new architectures releasing that P...

Microsoft hasn't given any indication that Xbox One is meant to work this way but they could have gone with a different OS design and console design if they didn't have additional features like this in mind. They have made it clear all games made in DX12 can work on Xbox One if made as Universal apps. So Windows 10 lends itself to this feature. Also being GPU agnostic.

The Xbox One version of Windows lends itself by using VMs instead of a standard OS. While it does ma...

For me this made the NX interesting again. If it isn't more powerful than current generation consoles it has to be close. I believe it will be more powerful so that actually already made it interesting. But if they are pushing the Voltron of consoles it really has potential. Again, I believe Microsoft is poised to do something similar, but this could be great for Nintendo.

Making NX a $250 machine with increased power based on adding other devices works well for them all ...

I'm not sure what Nintendo plans to do because I don't think much about the OS. With Microsoft there have been more leaks over the years that lead me to believe this has been part of their plan all along. If you remember the rumors of forward compatibility and the patents of two GPUs writing to the same scene and add the OS design it seems like it's something they had in mind. Also look at cloud computing and the ability to seamlessly integrate that information into the scene. Thi...

People focused on price and assuming it will be as expensive as the dev kits are judging prematurely. It's early in development. There are so many things that will bring the price down. Making five or ten thousand chips is more expensive than mass market manufacturing. Letting the chip production mature brings price down. As well as maturing manufacturing processes. Also because, I believe, one of the main selling features for businesses will be interactive advertising. That will allow fo...

I never looked at it as a gaming first device. There are far more non gaming uses. And even the gaming applications are not always traditional couch gaming. They are often things that require you to move around or be in public.

I'm glad to see Nintendo taking this approach. I've been wanting Microsoft to do the same thing with One. I believe that console is capable of the same thing. The OS seems to be geared toward such a feature with the main VM converging information between the game and apps VMs. This is not that different than offsite cloud help. Windows 10 lends itself to this by being GPU agnostic. Adding other devices regardless of GPU vendor makes it possible. This should force Microsoft's hand ...

Xbox 360 is Power PC. It has BC. Nintendo prides itself in having previous generation hardware and software compatible with the new version. I don't see that changing.

I don't think he's just wearing it to wear that shirt. It may be to test the waters. To drum up hype. But given people's desire for another Crash we will see it. This is similar to Phil and Battletoads. Just checking the fans temperature.

PSVR will be more mainstream in what universe? It appeals to gamers. Sony has a very successful console. Forty million by VR launch, great. Forty million is not remotely close to mainstream on this planet. A few hundred million PC gamers much more mainstream. Add one billion Facebook users and you have mainstream.

PlayStation is a niche product compared to Facebook. You have to understand Sony sees gaming, at least what we've seen. Facebook sees social interaction. Gam...

Dude, the PS4 is not capable of rendering a game in 4k for standard play. 4K VR is definitely not coming to PSVR on PS4.

The required specs for oculus may seem high today, but by the time the device releases it will be less so. Graphics cards with real power are about to become much more price friendly. Graphics cards are about to receive major price saving because of die shrinks and new architectures next year will bring major boost in power. The author's assumptions that psvr has some sort of head start are shortsighted. There are millions of machines already out there that hit the Oculus specs and the ne...

Could someone please provide a chart or list that tells me when something related to gaming is true and false. I've been on this site for years and still can't figure out the thing that determines when something is believable or not. When Pachter is right, when Kotaku isn't lying, when VGChartz numbers are correct. Can someone please tell me the unique thing that makes things different. Anyone...somebody. This is driving me crazy. I don't get it. This is hard. What is it that ...

Competition is good. If they fight over content and fragment the audience initially the selling points will be exclusives, system differences and price. Product will weed out the weakest offerings. Price will allow more consumers to play and content will eventually move to the top couple of platforms.

But with there being different directions to go with vr the winner might be based on who does better with additional revenue streams. VR isn't games exclusive. On this site...
