Make sure once the PS3 has updated, to turn it completely off, then back on again, and it will re-appear.

Not straight away no. Sadly the EU is made up of that many countries, with that many different laws to try and pass, it can sometimes be a logistical nightmare.

I ain't bothered about facebook on consoles, i have a pc for that. If people really care about updating their facebook with the latest demo they've just downloaded then its just incredibly sad. It'll be a social site for people with no social life, and it'll show it to everyone.
I don't get the whole copying arguement used here. All companies, not just in gaming, copy ideas or styles from one another, and tweak it into their own unique thing. I personally don't get the Mario games anymore. Its not to say they aren't good, i just don't personally get the whole hype around Mario games. Mario Galaxy was very good, but the rest have either been a step backwards compared to previous efforts, or just the 'same old' stuff i've been playing most of my life

And this is why, for me, downloading films or games will never compare to a physical product. This, given the amount of time it would need on my connection and my usage cap, would limit me to around 2 movies a month.
No offence to either the service on the PSN or Live, but i think i'll stick to going my local blockbuster and renting/buying Blu-rays
