Not sure about in the U.S but in Canada no. Once someone has attempted to make a purchase, the store is legally required to sell at the price listed on the shelf/confirmation page. Even if its a computer error.

If this is in Canada, report them to the BBB and CPA for false advertising.

The Rift doesn't provide full peripheral vision, It is 110 degrees. Full peripheral is 180.

Aim assist
Lack of death penalty (immediate respawn after death)
Everyone for themselfs (no teamwork, no strategy)
To much emphasis on how many kills you get, rather than actually accomplishing a goal.

The game is basically just shooting for the sake of shooting, without any real goals or purpose.

Like others have already said, sit almost any avid COD player infront of a game like battlefield where you can't just run and gun and ac...

Wow thats a first assuming you are being honest. Never seen anyone before who has played both IV & VI before VII yet still prefered VII. 99% of people who think VII is the best, started their FF experience with it.
Entirely nostalga.

I have been playing FF since the first, all in order and personally i would take IV, VI or IX over VII any day.

FFs in order from best to worst IMO would probably be.

VI
IV
IX

Its human nature to bias towards a first experience and never feel like anything newer is as good. Why do you think FFVII is so well regarded. IV, VI and IX were all better games (90% of FF fans who have been around since the start will agree) but all the FF's before it were still a niche to some extent. A large portion of the current FF fanbase started their experience with VII and will therefor always regard it as the best.

Stuck in the past? when you see a good game come from Squenix (especially an FF game) let me know. I would love to get out of the past.

The original release of Oblivion was very noticably superior on the PS3.

Better textures
More vibrant colors
Nearly twice the draw distance
and far less texture pop-ins or random "loading" pauses

The GOTY versions evened things out though.

@Korix:

It would be great if game companies could do the impossible but unfortunately they can't. MGS4 came out in June 08, Trophies weren't patched into the PS3 firmware til July 08.

You may "expect" the impossible but most gamers have enough common sense not to.

Sony was saying before the release of PS Home that getting platinum trophies in some games would give you an actual trophy within Home that you could place and display. Not sure if any games ever ended up doing it though.

On who's time? Kojima never previously gave a release date so "on time" is whenever it happens to release.

The best GPU when the PS3 released was the 8800 GTX which was several times more powerful than the 7600 GT (There is no 7600 GTX)

Wow ironic, square enix calling other peoples actions the "Biggest mistake ever" FF XIII was the biggest mistake ever, until they released XIII-2. Now it seems that one wont hold its record for long either as XIII-3 is in development. First game failed miserably, maybe 5% tops of FF fans actually liked it. Nobody asked for or wanted a sequal, bam... XIII-2. Again fails miserably, Nobody wants or asks for a sequal... bam FFXIII-3. All the while ignoring all the games people actually ...

@LOGICWINS:

Console gamers quite often argue their system of choice with upcoming games, so the entire foundation of your statement is invalid.

The point is not about when the games are coming out but rather that the prior statement can be made either way. Both platform have their fair share of exclusives. Saying one platform is better than the other based on it having exclusives is a very grasping at straws argument.

Not sure about others but i have never been "against" cloud gaming. So long as it doesn't take over local media entirely. I think the idea is a good one, being able to play games that otherwise would be too much for a console to handle. Just have it as a side function to disk capable consoles rather than a complete replacement. If it were to replace physical disks entirely, then i would have a problem with it. Sony's aquisition of Gaikai doesn't change my opinion on this...
