The Titan is a single GPU PCB, the 690 is a dual.
It really should be getting compared to the 680 which according to this article is only 10% behind a pair of in sli.
The Titan is currently by far the most powerful single chip GPU.
Unless you intend to pay $2k+ for next gen consoles, don't expect them to be using anywhere near this GPU.
The rumored GPU in the PS4 is an AMD R10xx @800mhz with 2GB memory and 1.8Tflops of overall performance.
Basically a heavily downclocked HD6950 which is from 2010.
The Titan is nearly as powerful as a GTX690 which has 5.62Tflops of performance.
And as it is a single chip GPU, you can combine up to 4 of them in quad s...

Yes he knows and that is exactly the point he was trying to make. The word is being misused by people who do not understand its meaning. It sounds like it should be big to them so they use it in that manner.

Quantum means minimal.
To say "A Quantum leap" actually means a very small change.
What happens 10-15 years from now when Steam/any other current DD service no longer exists?
Servers go down and your games go down with it.
Lost to history with no chance at recovery.
I don't know about you but i still enjoy playing my SNES games every once in a while.
Imagine if the SNES had been DD only, Nobody would be able to play them anymore. Every game ever made for it would be completely gone, never to be seen or ...
The reason DD works on PCs is because of all the archaic DRM methods on PC games.
Alot of the DRM that is on PC games prevents them from being resold, therby killing any collectability. There is nothing really lost by going DD on them now.
Consoles don't have any of that and are still collectable. If the rumors of anti-used next gen are true then there would be no problem with them going DD only also.
If PC games were all completely DRM f...
@jetlian:
Optimization does help but that was a bad example.
The console version of Crysis 1 was made with Cryengine 3 which was basically CE2 light.
It was heavily stripped down to work on consoles and neither the 360 nor PS3 versions looked even half as good as the PC version on the lowest settings.

That is actually playing the game and getting items though, not a pure speedrun.
I have never attempted an actual speedrun so i wouldn't know.
It takes me around 4.5 hours to beat the original MGS if i skip the cutscenes.
Do you mean a sequel specifically for redemption or just a 3rd Red Dead game in general?

You might want to work on your reading comprehension.
wishingW3L's "He nailed it" statement was in regards to Randy Pichford's statement in the article about peoples first experiences seeming like the best ones to them.

I was following you for the first sentence then it hit the "espicially sony fanboys"
From there on your entire post turned into a typical fanboy rant.
Credibility level reduced to 0.
Hypocrite level increased to 100.
I'm still using a 470 and can max out any current game.
Just played through FC3 twice.

@kwyjibo:
I agree there is alot more going on in both Watchdogs and The Witcher 3, I really liked the environmental physics on the leaves in the Watchdogs gameplay video.
Speaking purely graphical detail though, excluding all other factors, Beyond Two Souls has the advantage.
And yeah Planetside 2 looks great but i doubt it will be coming to consoles this gen.

Nice troll attempt but no.

The PS3 will last 10 years atleast, The PS2 continued to be manufactured and sold in the US for 11 years.
New systems come out but that doesn't mean the old ones immediately die.
As for the 720 specs, unlikely.
DDR4 while possible, is highly unlikely given that it isn't available at a consumer level yet. I would say maybe 20% chance of it happening.
The PSU is the giveaway though, 600w+ in a console will never happen....
Agree'd, however i won't be paying that much for just a hardware upgrade.
It will need to have exceptional software and a good feature set also. Full multitasking is a must if they are charging $600+
Hardware equal to a mid range gaming PC
good software
Full multitasking capabilities
A reworked trophy system
Cross game chat
8x or higher Blu-ray drive with support for 100GB disks
Have all that at...
@SkyGamer:
$350 isn't mid range by PC standards.
$350 is granny checking emails on linux.
Mid range starts around $650-700.
Also to anyone who thinks the PS4 will launch at $299, it won't.
The PS3 is still $299 right now and its been on the market for over 6 years. The PS4 will most likely be $399 for the basic model and $449 for the premium.

Don't worry lol i'm not going to vote you down.
I have a PS3/360 & Wii also and enjoy them all for what they are.
Just stating that from a purely power standpoint they don't compare.
As for the 4 Titans, no you do not "need" them at all. Unless you want to play things completely maxed out at 2560x1600 with 32x aa and 100+ fps lol.
99% of PC games right now wouldn't even ...
