PS1 and newer you just have to suffer through it for an hour or 2 until your eyes adjust, for some stupid reason i didn't get around to playing MGS3 til around the middle of this gen and even though i grew up with the SNES and then the PS1, for the first hour or so it looked like crap, after a while your eyes do adjust to it though and you won't even notice the fuzz or pixelation anymore.
Older than PS1 make sure you play on a CRT, they weren't designed for flat...

I was unable to find any information on the input lag or static contrast on it but it seems decent from what i can tell. Just make sure you disable the Clear Motion 120 feature in the settings.
Unfortunately there are no native 240hz TVs yet, 120hz is the highest. The ones advertised as 240hz use post processing to simulate 240hz and introduce what is knows as a soap opera effect.

There have actually been quite a few TVs in the last year or so that have native 120hz Circuitry, the KDL40EX645 i'm using right now is natively 120hz with post processing for 240hz which obviously i have disabled. Trust me i'm one of the first people to tell others about bogus marketing and what not to fall for. I have done extensive research on these things.

Actually i read a review a year or so ago that did tests between the Pioneer Elite plasma which is the highest rated plasma TV ever and some top end Sony full array LED and it found the Sony to have a better color range, think it was like 2-252 compared to the Pio's 3-248.
Also Plasmas have extremely high input lag compared to LCD/LEDs.

Do you know the model number?
95% of modern TVs have response rates of 1-2ms so that isn't really an issue anymore. Static contrast ratios are what i typically look for, unfortunately most TV manufacturers prefer to only advertise the highly misleading dynamic ratios.

Very good TV, especially for that price. Full array LEDs are usually alot more expensive.
I'm currently using a Sony Bravia KDL40EX645 which is also a very nice TV.

Actually developers/publishers prefer to sell things digital as they make far more money off it, even when priced the same. There is no retail markup on digital games, they get almost all of the profits from it sans a slight fee to Sony/MS/Nintendo (Under $5). They also do not have to pay for the case, disk, manual or shipping.
Alot of people still like the collectability of retail games and are willing to pay a bit more for it. Taking $5 off...

Nobody gives a rat about commoditisation, it is illogical. If a product is $40 more expensive for a restrictive digital version with less content vs the physical copy, that is not value, it is bad business plain and simple, you can try to justify it all you want but it is still idiotic and non sensical.

It has already been confirmed that BF4 runs on the equivalent of high settings on the PS4 @900p and 60fps.
This tablet will be running it at low-med settings, most likely at 720p which is the standard high end tablet resolution, and only 30fps.

Windows 8 is no different than Android or IOS, it was actually designed primarily as a tablet OS and then ported to desktops when MS got too lazy to make a proper new desktop OS, the touch centric UI and near complete lack of mouse capable navigation makes it obvious.
