Yeah, not a chance in hell. The 3DS looks awesome, and it will probably be the first Nintendo product I buy in a long time, but no. If it can produce those kinds of visuals in game, I will eat my PSP. (I'm not saying this based on skepticism, but on the video and screens they released of 3DS games).
Don't mistake nostalgia for quality. We all have our favorite games from the past, those games that were so awesome for their time that we will remember them forever. But that doesn't mean they stand up to current games in terms of quality. You know a motion controlled game is just a gimmick when there are more random flailing motions than there are precise movements.
