So basically the author is saying that Halo is a fun game, and it's a bad thing that so many people are buying it... Wait, what?
I would like to point out that Bungie have already started work on their next, 'new' IP.
I would also like to point out the following list of games: LittleBigPlanet, Modnation Racers, Portal, Limbo, Braid, Mirror's Edge, Dawn of War 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Assassin's Creed, Heavy Rain, Warhawk, inFamous, Burnout Paradise, Valkyr...
Dawn of War 2 is by far my favorite strategy game of all time, but it has the WORST f*ing matchmaking I've ever seen. It takes forever to find a game, and when it does, the game turns out to be extremely imbalanced. Can't wait for Retribution!
Mass Effect 2.
Lol, the reason I didn't put Drake's Fortune in there is because I already put Uncharted 2 in there. Drake's Fortune is definitely a great game, but I thought including one game from the franchise would be enough. Other, wise, in five years, the top 5 are going to be Uncharted, Metal Gear, Uncharted, Uncharted, God of War, Uncharted...
(I would've put it at number nine, right behind Batman)
It still proves a lack of consistency on behalf of IGN as a site. If your just going to completely turn around the list from one year to another, that list starts to loose credibility. Small changes are fine, but changing Metal Gear Solid from 1st to 9th...
Who cares what the number one game is this year if it's just going to drop 8 spots next year?
Top games should have more staying power than that.
THANK GOD I buy all multiplatform, multiplayer titles for PS3. I loved my X360 at the beginning, you know, back when RARE made cool games like Kameo instead of clothing for avatars...
Now, without exclusives from Bungie and Bioware... Yeah, looks like the last game my 360 will see is Halo Reach.
Microsoft keeps adding features to Xbox Live like Netflix and ESPN and Facebook crap. Sure, lots of people use these features everyday. Me? I could care less about them. So wh...
Valve can easily include a code to download the PC version of Portal 2 with the PS3 version of the game. That is not up to Sony.
Another thing that is not up to Sony is cross-platform PC-PS3 play and saving games on the Steam Cloud. Making those saves compatible with the PC version of the game is also not in Sony's control.
The only thing that Sony can block is Valve offering downloadable games on PS3 via Steam. There I agree with you, Valve definitely needs the green ligh...
Really? Any truth? So you seriously believe Super Smash Bros Brawl has Street Fighter IV beat? Or that golden eye on the Wii will come anywhere close to the likes of Halo, Crysis and Killzone?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not anti-Nintendo or anything. I used to love Nintendo, and like I said, Metroid Prime is still one of my favorites. I owned a SNES, N64, Gamecube, and most of the handhelds.
I agree, Samus is still one of the best franchises. Zelda is cool, but it hasn...
15$ for three maps is insane
15$ = 60$/4 = 1/4 of a full game. That's like saying the whole Modern Warfare 2 game is only worth 12 maps. The game already includes over 12 maps PLUS the entire single player campaign PLUS Spec-ops co-op mode.
Multiplayer maps are harder to make because of balancing and stuff, but still, I would price it at 1 or 2 dollars a map. 1$ would be ideal. It's just one dollar, so why not? But I will never pay anything above 3$ for a single map. ...
So far I prefer Dawn of War 2. I guess StarCraft 2 is too old school for my tastes. I prefer to concentrate on the front line rather than micromanage workers, research and tech trees...
Maybe once I get used to it again I'll see things in a different light.
Shut the fuck up. Mario is dead. Long live Sackboy!
Seriously...
LittleBigPlanet >> Mario
Modnation Racers >> Mario Kart
Street Fighter IV >> Smash Bros
PS Move >> Wii
What does Nintendo have left?
(Ten bucks says any high-profile shooter on 360 or PS3 >>>>> upcoming golden eye.)
I played Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 at 720p on the dolphin emulator and I have to admit I really enjoyed both of them...
I agree. How else would New Super Mario Bros. Wii sell so many copies?
Oh wait...
Ha Ha Ha... don't make me laugh.
Call of Duty is fun, but does anyone give a shit about the characters?
Hell, can anyone even remember the characters' names?
Do they even have names?
Lol, Star Wars? Try catching up to Super Mario in terms of characters and story telling. Seriously, people care more about Yoshi than captain Price or Ghost or...
No, I'm pretty sure those were the only two who had names...
This is precisely why the current generation of consoles are not the holy grail of graphics. Here's hoping PS4 has enough power to do some of that amazing stuff in the video. Just imagine what Assassin's Creed would look like with that cloth simulation...
Fallout is awesome, but Rage just makes it look like shit!
Can't wait to play this game!
First you take LAN out of StarCraft 2 (one of the things that made the first one so popular), and now this crap. Screw this, I'm sticking with Dawn of War.
She willingly gave him his money. No violence, no contract... I think the police should let him be and go after violent criminals instead. The real crime here is that people are allowed to be that stupid. I just hope she didn't pass those intelligence genes onto the baby she was buying diapers for.
"Best Co-Op Game since Resident Evil 5"
Uh, Left 4 Dead 2 anyone? I like Resident Evil 5, but I doubt it's the title many people think of when they here 'Co-Op'.
WTF?
If you think football manager deserves to be in the top ten PC games of all time, but not starcraft, you should be used as a pinata at a Korean birthday party.
Oh just STFU! What a dipshit. The only Activision games I ever bought were Call of Duty. After the shit they pulled with Infinity Ward, and the anticlimax that was StarCraft 1.5 and BattleNet, I am never buying another Activision game as long as dickhead is CEO.
Well, maybe Diablo III... And the next Bungie game...
Curse you Activision!!
