I was on the fence with this game before, but Willem Dafoe definitely swerves me into the must buy category. I really enjoy his acting. Sold.
I agree that Bad Company is better (especially on console) but I don't support ending the franchise. Make them alternate. I wanted BC3 before BF4.

This game is absolutely fantastic. I played it for a good chunk. I saw a huge group of people that basically only play Call Of Duty hop on it and play it nonstop for like three weeks straight. There were eight of us on at any time. I spent some money on it. The game was fun and the studio deserved something for that. Some other games came out that drew me away, but I definitely see myself going back at some point...

Irony abound! Like clockwork, the PS fangirls rush in to act like they are the saviors of gaming. Hey, guess what, I have both consoles and a PC that puts the PS4 to shame. You know what? I like Xbox the most out of all of them.

You can give away online play for free on PS3 but I'd rather pay to play on Xbox Live. That is voting with my wallet. My Playstation 3 has had over a year to convince me I didn't need to pay for Xbox Live and it hasn't.
I could go on and on about it, but it's irrelevant, because there isn't a single thing you or anyone else could say that is going to change the way I feel. So get over it and go have fun with whatever you find your own enjoyment in.

Twitch used to be Justin.TV. They focus on purely gaming streams. When Sony announced they were doing Ustream, I immediately thought that meant Microsoft would end up with Twitch. Works for me.
I love what Sony is doing there. I stream on Twitch and the thought of just pressing a button and not having to deal with everything else is amazing.
I am the biggest Battlefield fanboy out there, and in the single player, they absolutely tried to be COD. In their defense, they had never tried to do a single player campaign before, but it is what it is.
The OP's point remains true: the Bad Company part of the franchise was at least unique in that there was humor involved and the premise that you were a crew of screwballs was a different vibe than the super serious plot twisting story Battlefield 3 had.

I love playing Battlefield on PC and using an Xbox controller and laughing when I go 46-13 against the almighty keyboard warriors.
With that said, whatever makes people happy. I can't do mouse and keyboard. I really enjoy a controller. If people feel the opposite, that's cool. I'm all about people doing what makes them happy. It just drives me nuts how full of themselves PC gamers tend to be.

It would be nice if Virgin wasn't such a scam. They made a huge deal about a $1.3 million Battlefield 3 tournament and guess what... never happened. Can't be legit if companies throw up bogus events they never actually have.
