Just give up, leave Banjo-Kazooie in the past. They will never be able to recreate what made it and Banjo-Tooie good on N64 today, especially not by being owned by Microsoft.
13 was entirely a corridor from start to finish. 16 had 4 giant explorable zones.
13 had absolutely no towns and you had to buy items from vending machines. 16 had towns and shops, plus an actual hub as your main base.
13 had terrible characters that were annoying all around. 16 had great characters.
13 had a terrible story. It was complete, but they weren't satisfied with the sales, so they made some crap up to continue it in 2 oth...
I bought one a few months ago, but couldn't get the in game keyboard to work for games like Forza Horizon 5, which made the game unplayable (couldn't get past login screen of xbox live). I sent it back and I don't regret it.
My only problem in this game is that Eikon battles were far too long and of course, all battles have unskippable transitions that act like cutscenes. Ok on the first playthrough, but annoying as hell in new game plus.
@Sonyslave3 Blocking this deal would be protecting consumers, but you toxic xbox fanboys can't see that.
@giovonni what is more likely to happen is Sony and Nintendo continuing like they are now and developers will just go with PS and Nintendo and skip Xbox because they won't make money on Xbox since the fanboys there are now too cheap to buy games.
Translation: we made an offer to Square-Enix, but they laughed at us like Nintendo did.
If I was an indie dev, I would need at least 2 more 0s to the number you just said, so $2,000,000. I am pretty sure an indie game can easily sell 1000 copies at $25-30 and make that 20k easily. Successful ones like Stardew valley would make a ton of money and refusing the check MS gives is a good idea.
Big publishers would laugh at Microsoft unless Microsoft offered them tens of millions. The money they would make from sales, dlc/microtransactions are a lot higher than what...
*cough*LIAR*cough*
I would rather eat diarrhea than buy a Xbox.
Microsoft are liars, pure and simple. They keep saying they will keep activision games multiplatform to appease regulators, but the moment they get what they want, they will ignore all the remedies they agreed to and make everything exclusive.
Phil Spencer is pretty much a sad excuse of a human being and one of the worst scum in the industry. Pretty much a requirement to work at Microsoft.
SEGA just probably laughed at them and said no. It would basically kill their brand because their games just don't sell on gamepass and Japan would just stop buying their games altogether.
@Haki1112 The reason games like FF16 and FF7R aren't on Xbox isn't because Sony paid, it's because Square-Enix doesn't give a **** about Xbox. Xbox is dead last and less and less developers are caring about it. You'd rather believe the lies you say than realize that you chose the wrong console that less and less devs will touch because you people don't buy games because of gamepass and because the series S is holding them back.
Seems to me the Xbox camp is still in the denial stage.
Does that guy ever shut up? Everything that comes out of that guy's mouth is just lies and bs.
@sparky77 those are only timed exclusives. If they're not coming to Xbox, it's because the developers don't give a shit about Xbox, not because Sony threw money at them. You xbox fanboys might need to stop saying nonsense, you're embarassing yourself.
Even if the acquisition doesn't go through, Sony will probably buy Square-Enix and or Capcom. The best part is that those 2 companies are japanese, so Sony likely doesn't need regulator approval to buy them.
Microsoft are liars. As soon as they get what they want, they will just go back on the words, not release Zenimax games on Playstation and make all Activision games exclusives. They're anti-consumers, they definitely can't be trusted. At this point, anyone except the rabid xbox fanboys sees them for who they are: the biggest scums of the Earth. This deal shouldn't go through, it's bad for all gamers. The only ones blind to this are Xbox fanboys.
Sony had nothing to do with it. The Series S holding developers back and Gamepass making it so xbox fanboys don't want to buy games is the reason FF16 and every other square-enix games are not coming to Xbox not because of some imaginery deal Sony supposedly made (they only made a deal for 6 months).
Xbox makes them no money and their low end console is holding them back. Plus, Square-Enix really doesn't care about Xbox.
DirectStorage wasn't a thing back then, so technically, it was only possible on ps5 back then unless you wanted to deal with loading time everytime you entered rift.
