The vita has a lot of exclusive games, especially exclusive JRPG's. The vita also has lots of those small 2d indie games that are on ps4 like spelunky or binding of Isaac which I think are more worth playing on a handheld. The vita has a lot of games. More than people may have you think.
I had the jak and daxter collection on vita. DEFINITELY has performance issues. Jak 1 is playable, but jak 2 is less so and I heard jak 3 runs the worst, but I stopped at jak 2 because of the framerate
I disagree completely with uncharted being on there. I think golden abyss was a mediocre game and hands down the worst uncharted game. On the other hand, the game on the list right before it, Killzone Mercenary, is hands down the best shooter on a portable ever.
@Goldby
You can tell yourself that all you want, but go on YouTube. Go on the Internet. It was not a problem with my downloaded file. There are framerate and technical analyses of both demos and it's been proven that the framerate did not hold a locked 30 in the duscae demo and on top of that, had problems with consistent delivery of frames; frame pacing issues, making the game feel like it's running at a lower framerate than it actually is.
Then,...
@goldby....how am I trolling??? Did you play the episode duscae demo? Did you play the platinum demo? Both of those are incredibly poor performers. Out of all the current gen games I've played and betas and demos released to the public, I've never had a worse time than the initial episode duscae demo and apparently that game's frame rate didn't drop too low too often on ps4, but it had frame pacing issues and I could tell. It felt inconsistent and juddery to play.

I'm getting this over final fantasy 15 because I have a highly big suspicion that FF 15 will have pretty bad performance on both Xbox One and PS4 and will only be playable at decent frame rates and with decent visuals once eventual PC, Xbox Scorpio, and PS4 neo versions are announced.
All demos they've released to the public thus far have looked really bad with poor image quality. Sure, the tech under the hood is impressive, but it's ruined by the image quality ...
I know what emulation is, but I don't like emulating hardware on a PC. I'd rather play on the original console or a system that does official backwards comparability like 3ds with full ds compatibility.
Case in point, years ago, I could have emulated Atari 2600 games and Snes games and genesis games, but you know what I did? I went online and bought all those actual systems with physical cartridge game. I own the original genesis sonic games all in their original bo...
People always rag on the story in second son, which I guess isn't as original or "in depth" as the other two, but with the technology, the visuals and the facial animation REALLY add to cutscenes and the performances themselves from actors are very good so like I don't get the big criticism. Not every story needs to be deep. The Last of Us doesn't have a deep story, but it's praised for story because of the characters and writing.
Second Son has go...
Ummmm....it's an Xbox Ond. Only slightly more powerful with the ability to play 4K video and UPSCALE games to 4K as well as HDR support. What games will launch with it? This isn't a new gen. Are you okay.
It's not impossible...do you see how fast game technology progresses??? Look at an Xbox 360 launch title like perfect dark zero just 11 years ago and compare it to a ps4/Xbox one launch title like Battlefield 4 or Killzone Shadow Fall.
And then look at now Quantum Break and Uncharted 4. When I was growing up, games were very clearly games but now that I'm 21, it's gotten to the point that with clever use of a game's photo mode, depth of field, angles, etc......
That's obviously true, but Uncharted 4 wouldn't have had the same impact it does now without the amazing visuals it has.
Yeah, I don't consider people that don't really play games, but that freak out over Pokemon Go gamers so yes, gaming still a primarily male-dominated industry.
Just playing the occasional casual game here and there, especially free basic mobile games is the furthest you can be from a "gamer". If you play those in addition to a bunch of other games, fine, but if that's all you play, you are NOT a gamer.
I dated a girl that played some...
I literally do not understand the disagrees. I saw the digital foundry videos or was it somebody else? Either way, I saw the controller and the tv. The Xbox one had noticeable input delay and the Xbox 360 version didn't. I could see it with my own eyes when the person moved the sticks. How are people disagreeing with a fact.
It's like with Tales of Zestiria. I played it on PS4 and NO reviews mentioned input lag, but I went online and dos research. It's well doc...
I saw analyses that of the game and saw the Xbox One version had an input delay not present in the PC or Xbox 360 versions. I don't know if that delay was ever fixed on Xbox One so I hope the ps4 release doesn't suffer from it.
Online lag and input lag are different things
What idiot thinks battlefield 1 is trying to be a world war 1 simulator??? Of COURSE it will distort history and focus on mechanics and fun before being historically accurate because it's BATTLEFIELD.
What about all those countless world war 2 games that weren't completely accurate??? Get out of here with these stupid articles on this site.
Uncharted 3 had awful pacing and emulated the structure of Uncharted 2 to T. The Big Bang opening followed by a flashback sequence. The mid game convoy chase. The discovering the lost city near the home stretch. The running away and plat forming as the place is collapsing. Such a retread of every beat uncharted 2 hit, but didn't have the same restraint. Set pieces and action lasted too long whereas uncharted 2 knew when to pull back on the action and slow back down before doing a gradual ...
There's nothing wrong with early access. The problem is charging $30 for a game without labeling it as early access, making consumers think they're buying into a finished product. Hell, $30 is too much for early access anyways as well
I'd still rather have prettier versions of games with better framerates and all DLC includes than be stuck with the same aged versions I already have on console
Maybe I'm uninformed, but isn't 8GB incredibly small for a remastered collection of 2 whole games and a stand alone expansion pack thing? Makes me wonder how well these remasters will actually turn out.
