Than I expect there will be a lot of disappointment. The war was an uprising of Colonial patriots against a tyrannical government. The story is based on American soil. The story will feature historical Colonial patriots. The towns will be full of patriotism.
Seriously, if you want to have the game have any semblance of historical realism, you'll realize Ubi won't be able to ignore this. Now, with that being said, Ubi should also show other not so pretty historical f...
Lol don't know about the tomahawk, but the hidden blade would have sold millions. Must have been some legal issues (or avoidance of) with that.
And do they actually have any original ips, or is every game they've done based off the coattails of someone elses hard work.
I'm not a sp only fan, but rather a "sp only if it means comprising sp by making mp" fan. In the case of TLOU, it's obvious that ND DID NOT compromise any quality, in fact, if they are just now hiring for mp after the sp looks already so polished I can't see how anyone can complain. I hope other devs take note, this is how development should be sp first, mp later.
This announcement just further stoned my excitement.
And KH3, don't forget we're all waiting for that too. SE gets punished for it's handling of the FF and KH series, but really, they're not going anywhere.
I don't think they're competing for the same audience as COD. And they do need to release it before Black Friday to start generating some hype. Parents start to plan shopping a couple weeks prior to Black Friday so releasing on the 13th is probably ideal.
@dcboy310, what happened with COD was a once in a lifetime phenomenon. I don't know if Respawn can recreate that. It also concerns me that they chose to go with EA. Exactly how much advertising dollars do you think EA will give them? I can't see EA giving more love to Respawn's title than Dice's games. That alone is going to hurt Respawn's games big time.
Actually it is, while gas prices are at an all time high, demand is at a low. Bad example you picked.
A whole new engine is definitely needed, the current one is dated and still buggy.
Explanations: worsening economy, casuals moving on, some people waiting for new consoles as a new gen nears.
No Infinite is not a sequel, it just carries the name Bioshock but has nothing to do with the previous 2 other than similar gameplay elements.
"This generation was pretty shit and doesnt hold a candle to the previous generation."
What? This gen is much better than last gens. I've gamed on Atari 2600, NES, Genesis, SNES, PS1, PS2, XBOX, PS3, and PC. The improvements that have come in this gen of gaming is incredible. The social aspect has been taken to new levels, deeper storylines, better graphics, able to improve games/consoles after launch, more Indy games than ever, access to older games on PSN/XBL ...
I keep saying I need to check out what's new but every time I turn on my PS3 I end up on netflix or playing a game and I forget. It's been a few months since I last checked out Home.
In regards to the voicework, it's terrible imo. The actual actors do a good job, but when they have 1 actor doing the voice for 20 characters it kind of ruins the game a bit. They need to hire more voice actors to give a variety.
And yeah, they need to play test their game better. Why, as leader of the Thieves Guild, do I still get referred to as a "Brynjolfs new proteje"? (bad spelling of Brynjolf?)
Who knows, for me Fallout 3 played without a hitch, Fallout Vegas was some nasty frame rate drops with a couple crashes. So far Skyrim 80 hrs in, 3 freezes and a couple minor frame rate drops. From my experience, one guy will have no issues and the next will have an unplayable mess. There's no rhyme or reason to it other than a shoddy engine with no PS3 optimization.
If you have a tough time finding games to play this year I'm not sure you can call yourself a gamer. Sales may be down, but quality AAA titles aren't. He missed mentioning so many that came out and will come out it's not even funny, especially if you're a multi console gamer.
Exactly my thoughts. I wasn't really feeling it when it was announced GOW would have an online mode, but as long as the sp is epic as usual I'm ok. But now I see there's xp, why? Leave that xp, double xp crap for the shooter's, don't let those genres influence GOW please. What's next, loadouts and perks/properks?
Whoa, I just had deja vu. Must be a glitch in the matrix. People said the same thing about BR/PS3 and now it's everywhere. Affordable 4k tvs are probably years away, but it's coming sooner or later and future proofing the PS4 is a good move.
Also, my monthly rent is $900, if the 4k tv was $900 I'd be all over that day 1.
"While the story is way too drawn out, gameplay evolves with each iteration."
And that has been the saving grace of the series. The difference in gameplay from the first AC to AC3 is amazing.
Family is more important than video games. If the guy makes enough money, only works a few hours a week and gets to stay at home with his kid, that's something most guys would LOVE to do. Why would you give your child half assed attention just to please some guy on a forum? Come on Carl_Shocker, there's more to life than video games, this guy can see that, you should as well.
