I wonder how this is going to work. How about the households that have multiple consoles. Does this mean that you need a new pass for every console? If they're going to charge like this, those servers had better be fucking flawless.
Count, don't be an idiot. Did you not read that its WB, not Sony. You probably did, but judging by your 1 bubble you probably just want to start fanboy war.
On topic, it does suck, but I'm getting this day 1 anyway so it doesn't affect me right now, but there is that slippery slope where this might become commonplace.
Maybe its a cloud based gaming system similar to OnLive. We all know MS is in favor of the digital format. Maybe they bought OnLive, since OnLive wasn't doing very well.
Yes. Its like walking through a prison yard. Over here you have the Wii crowd, over there the 360s, over there the PC guys, over there the PS3s. Be very careful not to make eye contact or they will take it as a sign of aggression.
"reduced the technological headaches associated with making the game."
TRANSLATION: "our laziness to learn something new killed our sales.".
I would have jumped on this game day 1 if it was brought to the PS3. However, with the laziness Remedy shows to learn the PS3's architecture, it could have been a horrendous port anyhow.
@ PimpHand, well said. Its the emotional aspect of HR why so many (including myself) loved it. Some people just aren't there yet in life and can't understand that yet.
I agree, HR was a HUGE breath of fresh air. The market is so saturated with FPS, this game was exactly what I needed. I can't wait for Cage's next project.
Its not that he's joking around. Its not that he thinks he's funny when he's not. It IS that he's an attention whore! Its freakin annoying already!
Even if the mp is good, its still not innovative enough to warrant a purchase, especially with the lack of game types. It doesn't offer enough to get someone to ditch Killzone, Battlefield or COD.
From a 3-4 hour campaign to the lacking mp, it makes no sense for me to buy this, even at $42. The devs should have made a solid 8-10 hour campaign, that would have given this game much more respect. Too many titles jumping on the FPS mp bandwagon.
I heard Kratos will be offline only. Can anyone confirm?
It sure looks like the guy is having a blast. Isn't that what its all about? You shouldn't let someone else's joy get you down like that.
I don't know alot about the PS3 architecture, but I assume that in game music will take up RAM. If you force a dev to implement a feature, it could affect the game in a bad way. Dedicating RAM to an in game music option might mean that the graphics or physics might suffer.
Like I said, I don't know about the PS3 architecture or programming, but usually when you add one thing, something else suffers.
EDIT: In games like Killzone 3 or Uncharted 2 (s...
I'm really rooting for Rage. We need more new IPs. So far its looking like a great game.
Exactly, its just something to play while taking a shit. Real gaming is done on a couch with a contoller, surround sound and big screen tv.
You're right, but I don't think that insomnium2 was talking about how many titles Nintendo or Sony have. Rather he was pointing out sales. Nintendo may have 10 more titles, but the majority are on the bottom of the list, and have negligible sales.
What do you mean "substandard"? Character design, pixel count, jaggies, shading? I've only seen videos, but it looks fine to me. MK has never went for realism in character designs, its always had that cartoony sort of look. And like you already stated, MK is all about gameplay, which definately seems to have been the focus on this game.
It's nothing to be mad about. It's just bonus content, and doesn't affect the finished game.
MS isn't the only one to get exclusives, Sony does the same. The new MK is getting Kratos, ME2 got all the dlc for free, and other games have exclusive content as well. All bonus content.
Its healthy competition between consoles, and its not necessarily a bad thing. If you feel you must play everything, then get all consoles.
As long as the hackers stay away from the multiplayer, I don't care...that much.
Well, since the game was made for the users, not critics, I'd have to side with the users. DA isn't exactly a game the casual player picks up, so if you don't stay true to your franchise and fans you're going to have problems.
@Tony, I'm confident in MK and am buying it new. But there are franchises like COD that I feel don't deserve a new sale. I'm sure sooner or later Acti will follow suit, as a matter of fact, I'm surprised they haven't done so already.
