This is the kind of game that would sell really well if they decided to make a sequel. I hope they do and aren't blinded by the first games sales. The thing is relatively unknown titles that are really solid will get a cult following and inspire others to give the game a shot. The initial sales of a game need to be good, and the people that bought the first game and loved it would probably get it day one.
Look at NieR vs NieR Automata. The first is an admittedly flawed experiment...
They can, and people have been doing just that for years now. Never have I seen a calamity like this unfold at a tournament. The only thing I've ever seen was a roof collapsing with no people injured as far as I know. Don't let this scare you and just keep going to events. Why let an isolated incident caused by a psychopath stop you from having fun?
RIP. Fuck the shooter. Game on!
Would have said the same if I was about to release a game on that platform :p
Not sure how you're getting downvotes but you're absolutely right.
Crossplay should be a thing and should have been a long time ago.
Anyone that doesn't agree is trying to defend their purchase for whatever reason and lack the ability to to understand that these practices are very anti-consumer.
So Switch owners, you guys still want a port? Enjoy the slideshow. In theory it sounds so perfect, a handheld console with just enough punch to run (admittedly worse) versions of modern games, but when you don't have competent devs it's just not gonna happen.
Tfw a franchise you really like goes in a different direction and sells millions while you're extremely disappointed and just want traditional Zelda.
Knowing it sold millions probably means we'll see more Zelda's that are empty, have pointless objects to collect and have you running across a giant field which feels stretched out for the purpose of feeling big, while everything would have fitted in OoT's Hyrule Field pointless Korok seeds and breakable weapons aside. A...
And this is why the game isn't on switch. I played this on PS4 Pro and performance is nothing to write home about compared to the visuals you're getting.
It's true that you can port just about everything to the switch but that statement doesn't apply when the game is an unoptimized resource hog.
It's the other way around for me. I can't stand cliche multiplayer zombie shooters, MMOs where you absolutely have to work together to get anywhere because of job systems and stupid MOBAs where all people do is rage at their own teammates. Give me good single player games. Games that I can play at my own pace in my own way, where I can feel badass and powerful instead of being a peasant just because devs have to take an 'economy' into account. Don't get me wrong there are ...
They should make a game where you can choose whether you want to do real time or turn based combat depending on your foe. Don't think that's been done before but it'll make everyone happy.
Indeed. MH has been released on PS2, PSP, Wii, WeakU, 3DS, PS4, XBO and Switch.
They simply go where the money is and that's all it really is. Classic Capcom.
The only exception is the WiiU which received just one title during the launch when nobody really knew whether the system would succeed or not.
And yeah, this definitely isn't possible to port with good results.
The original release on both current consoles performs anything but a...
It's well worth the price if you never played it on WiiU.
But I ain't paying full price again when the only addition is a gameshark character.
Best game I owned on the WeakU, one of the better DKC games if you ask me.
Yessssssss.
Yes it has a decent amount of 3rd party support.
Yes the tech inside the switch is capable enough and doesn't look like garbage like the Wii did VS their 360/PS3 counterparts.
The thing is in 2018 people have multiple consoles, and if you don't care about portable gaming which version of a game are you going to get? Of course you're going to get the best looking version!
I don't even see the point you're trying to make when Nintendo is ...
Yoko Taro did an interesting talk at GDC about 'open world fatigue'.
Basically what it boils down to is that giving players too much freedom will actually put pressure on people because they'll feel like they're missing out on tons of stuff should they choose to skip things.
Freedom is in a future you didn't have in the past. You trick players into believing that what you see is what you get, but then it turns out everything you initially thought is BS an...
@Shiken
Including best OST, while the game has pretty much no (memorable) music whatsoever.
The more you know ;)
Anyway, glad people are finally seeing thru the smoke and mirrors of open world trash.
If you have a world that is 20 times as big as another game in the same franchise then you either need a developement team that is also 20 times as big, or 20 times more time to even come close to realizing a LEGIT open world game that doesn...
The fact that PUBG is an actual craze to begin with makes me lose faith in humanity as a whole :p
Why? Since Prince of Persia has been abandoned I couldn't give less shits.
What do you expect? As long as you have the same amount of developers and the same amount of time you can't magically make a bigger game that has the same level of quality as a game that isn't open world.
So what usually ends up happening is that developers toss in grindy sidequests or stuff that simply has no purpose in areas that feel empty.
All I see is more unneccesary travelling to be honest.
Already uninstalled it ever since I got discord ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I can see it happen, there's too many benefits for them.

1) Games run on any device, which means it's automatically more accessible so more people can play.
2) No more ports, ever. 1 platform (their servers).
3) Everyone can play together. Cross play is native.
4) Nobody can datamine, mod or pirate their games anymore. (unless you hack their servers I guess :p)
5) High graphic fidelity as long as your output device is good.
