I'm so happy that this franchise finally gets the attention it deserves, as the original NieR is my favorite game of all time. I wasn't moved by entertainment since The Green Mile. It's sad, but oh so beautiful <3
Finally someone with the balls to expose the game for what it truly is. Yes, it's a technological masterpiece with great visuals, sound, physics and realism. The only problem is that fun got lost in the translation. If you don't like open world games and can see thru the bs then this game is quite boring. Thankfully Fast RMX made the switch launch bearable.
Or buy the game but still 'pirate' it because downloading with 35MB/s is faster than ripping the disc :p That's what I've always done. The data is a 1:1 copy so whatever.

Except even third party developers still know nothing about the machine. They all get a SDK to program games without knowing about any of the unique features or hardware. There's a reason only Just Dance was announced by Ubi since it runs on a freaking toaster.
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if third parties don't even know anything about the hardware. They could just send them a SDK without any hardware for all we know.
Maybe that's the reason Ubisoft only announced Just Dance for the system.
Whatever it is, it's being kept under wraps and I don't think we'll see any legit leaks this time around. They probably learned from the WiiU, which concept was leaked weeks before it's reveal.

I'm probably gonna get a lot of shit for this, but I'll be waiting on NX while letting these glorified PC's with a controller toss money around to third parties for exclusives.
If NX turns out to be crap however, I'll just stick to PC and borrow my friend's PS4 to play NieR:Automata and maybe a few other interesting titles.
The controller was great but you wouldn't know unless you played GameCube games with different controllers.

While financially they hardly have anything to worry about, I don't think they'll be interested in the console market anymore if the next system flops. Knowing Nintendo, they would blame it on a lack of interest in consoles these days, while we all know the true reason systems flopped.
What? They're actually the only one of the three that does listen. The last guardian, shenmue 3 and other titles that fans have requested are coming. People wanted a powerful machine to play great games on and they got it. I want the same from nintendo but I already know they'll just force a new gimmick for the sake of being unique.

Dolphin does that and adds AA, AF and other optimizations and you're not restricted to any resolution. TP HD is a pathetic upgrade to say the least.
For me it's their worst Zelda game.
