Looked exactly the same with an extremely minor contrast difference, if anything at all. The game is multiplatform, it's not in EA's interests to make either version look remarkably better as it will hurt the other consoles sales. That's just simple economics.
Was waiting for exactly the same game, typical that US get's it first...
I bought bladestorm for £25 and I really like it. Don't care what some review says, my opinion is the important one to me.
Mechwarrior rules. I still play MW2 from time to time :D one of my all time fave games (until this comes out and I spend £gazillion to upgrade to play at full everything).
The beta ones do me very well in DX10 and 9 (9 gives me more fps, but the detail isn't quite there) on an 8800gts 640Mb, just a shame I can't go over high settings with 2xAA on :( put 4xAA on and I get nowhere!
Still haven't managed to finish portal (not enough time, too many games) but it's like crack, I'll admit that.
So now all they need to do is release a decent priced arcade stick contoller, cheapest one I've seen is the same price as most games. 360 pad cannot handle SFII at all.
The demo is indeed great as people here are saying. I used to only use my psp for rpgs but it has a new primary use now. will definitely get this when it comes out.
I want the game, but it all depends on wha the "exclusive unlocks" are if I'm gonna preorder it from EA.
Personally I'd wait for PES.
Nothing new seems to have been added to Fifa this year, but then again neither does much seem to have changed for PES (played the PC demo with my ps3 pad). PES just plays a much better game imo.
I do too, but I have to say I'm pretty underwhelmed with it. Maybe they cut back on the graphics to keep it really fast (as most mulitplayer fps's seem to do where split second timing can mean the difference between making a great shot and dying), I just thought it looked a tad dated on my 8800gts.
I don't have a preferred system, you can't generalise just because that's how you feel.
Yes there are certain people on here (and indeed any forum, website, coffeshop street corner, whatever) who have their preference and become quite frankly very childish in it's protection to the point of stupidity sometimes, but honestly, what's the point in their anger?
Hit the nail on the head there Vickers. I too was a fanboy when I was younger (we're talking back before PS1's...) and really regret it, I shunned one computer type over another that looking back on I realised was just as good as my choice for no reason. That's why today I have a PSWii60 setup and love every single second of it, without any stupid arguing over "my console is better than yours" :)
Demo runs absolutely fine graphically, although it doesn't look all that great tbh, but I get weird sound issues like a constant hiss over the top of everything.
Pretty good list of achievements tbh, should provide some longevity for the gamerscore hunters (like me)
Kinda figured it was him all along, or someone close to him. He's been the only person really doing anything with the firmwares since day one, just felt strange that someone could come along so soon after he "quit" and do almost the same work as quickly without being known before.
The man was/is a legend in the psp community, and if this really is his last release as either Dark_Alex or as M33, then it's a sad day.
Thanks for the link MarioNZ, for some reason there's only a handful of themes listed on the UK site, how dumb is that?
You show me how you can get a different image per blade and for the guide bar as well and I would.
Well the copy you install from dvd only takes about 20Gb during install (maybe a little more) and leaves you with about 17Gb installed data.
Big deal...
Thought I'd try it and followed the instructions as per the forum posts ($SystemUpdate folder on the root of a USB stick) and it recognises there's an update but then tries to update online, even with my lan disconnected, so no go for me. Real shame as I'd have loved to have given it a go. :(
