I agree with this to a point, but in this industry, particularly in regards to MMOs, the developers MUST be confident with their product. The minute they show weakness or doubt, their whole community will be up in arms. Just look at The Old Republic...look at what a dent that those comments made by ONE employee put in their online community when he said the game was going to fail, and the game hasn't even been released yet. I know of tons of people who either completely stopped following ...

Sadly, 90% of games nowadays suck and pander to the lowest common denominator of gamers (ie. drunken fratboys) so it's entirely possible. Other than an MMO, where else can get you 300 hours of gameplay? Or more than 20 these days for that matter...

Gears of War - the epitome of fratboy franchises

Halo 4 - fratboy teabagfest

Mass Effect 3 - aims to target the fratboy audience with this next installment by taking out all the "numbers&q...

Pretty much this. Every hacker I've ever known is a smelly angry sociopath. Call me out for stereotyping if you wish, but this is true of EVERY hacker I've personally met. And yes, they all do smell and are greasy.

...and usually wear army fatigues.

Graphics don`t mean a thing when the gameplay is generic and boring, the story is nonsensical and just plain atrocious at times, the NPCs and voice acting are hollow and poorly written, the level design is linear and the world is non-interactive. Oh no, this game is FARRRR from next gen.

"We review every game with the inferior console version and give them shitty scores, that means PC is dying!"

Sums it up well. Game is good and surprisingly polished for an Obsidian game. Had the game freeze up on me twice, once frozen my whole computer and once unfroze itself when I hit ctrl alt del, other than that no issues. With all the sucky "blockbuster" titles out there lately, it's hard to find games like this that are actually FUN, and not just trying to be impressive. Fun is something that's been missing from a lot of games this generation.

This will be my last Bioware game ever. Hopefully they will let me go out on a somewhat high note. I liked Bioware for their RPGs, not their shooters and action games. It's becoming painfully obvious that they can't make a game with an original story any longer, since they have essentially made the same game over and over for decades, so they need to change the style of gameplay their games have to blind people from this fact. If I want to play a shooter, there are 1000 other games ou...

Third person shooter*

Because people are graphics whores and were completely oblivious to how actually BORING the demo was.

Just look at Uncharted 2. Run of the mill third person shooter with light platforming mechanics, both of which can be found in any game, yet somehow it's ZOMG TEH MOST AMAZING THNG EVAR CUZ LOOK @ DA GRAFIX.

All hackers are sociopaths, why else would they be hackers to begin with?

Bioshock 2 was developed by 2k Marin, not Obsidian, just so you know...

Also, I'm about 10 hours into Dungeon Siege 3 and I can honestly say that it is by far the best (and least buggy!) Obsidian game I have ever played. I am actually enjoying it a lot, as opposed to every other Obsidian game I've played which I've hated. If you can overlook some of the lower production values, the combat is a ton of fun, the game is well paced and diverse and the conversation tre...

Don't like it? Get a PC. Seriously, you guys think you can spend $300 on hardware for a decade and think you can get as much performance as someone who puts thousands of dollars into their hardware every other year? That's just ignorant and greedy.

Console versions of Diablo 1 and StarCraft weren't developed by Blizzard, and Baldur's Gate had nothing to do with Blizzard...just sayin'.

Yes, it's the reviewers' fault that this game sucks.

I agree, it's not meant to be a bad adventure game. It's meant to be a bad adventure game with bad third person shooting and driving sequences.

Honestly, if this game didn't have the word "Rockstar" attached to it and the facial animations, this game would have received much lower scores, less sales and less praise. And as for the facial animations, they have nothing to do with the talent of the development team. Go watch the 'making of' videos ...

Seeing faults in games and not showering praise on every big budget "blockbuster" that comes out makes you a troll. No, it's illogical to not like a game because it has faults. People can't comprehend not liking a game that has that has such a big budget. The more it's advertised, the better it is, right?

Every kid this generation acts like they developed every single game by themselves using their own money. They take every criticism so personally, it&...

This game is surprisingly fun. It's a shame about the multiplayer and the lack of customization, but the combat is well done and the controls (with a controller...) are quite good as well. Just a tip: if you can avoid it, DO NOT play it on console. It was clearly designed as a console game, but the game on console looks atrocious. I played the demo on PS3 and I couldn't believe how unbelievably ugly it was. The game on PC looks remarkably better. I don't think I've ever seen a...
