Well you're not going to find any creativity in AAA titles.
I'm surprised this game is already coming out. They've shown so little of it, pretty much just 1 demo since it was announced. Hopefully that's nothing to worry about.
Ouch...
I am never going to play this. Ever.
"True" MGS game or not, this game has an interesting mechanic I've been wanting to see implemented in a game for a long time. Even without the cooky plot, I still like the subject matter associated with these games and I'll definitely be getting it...if it turns out well, anyway. It looks like it's on the right path.
Not in the slightest. I have no desire to play this whatsoever. Honestly, I would rather (if the game HAD to have multiplayer) just have co-op through the main story where up to 2 other players can join your game and play the other members of your squad and take part in multiplayer conversations like they are doing with The Old Republic. Experiencing and interacting with the story would be 100 times better than some stupid horde mode that's been done to death. I play these games for the s...
"Let me ask everyone this...WHEN HAS BLIZZARD EVER LET YOU DOWN?" Um...basically every game they've made in the last decade since all of their talent has moved on to other developers or made their own studios? Also, yeah, it's DOTA. We've been playing it for years. A little late to the party, huh? And it probably wont be out for another 3 years anyway. Meh. They better be bringing something new to the table and not just the exact same old map that can be found in 10 othe...
They stole my idea!
Can't wait to lose my life in this world...I feel like the shouts might get a bit annoying after hundreds of hours though.
This is the only correct answer.
Mass Effect is much more akin to Star Trek, in my opinion, but I would have to agree with him on this. Now, perhaps if the fabled Star Wars HBO series ever gets released, it will be more in the vein of Mass Effect, but right now I prefer the feel and tone of Mass Effect more than Star Wars.
I would have said the same thing about Uncharted 2, but I probably played more multiplayer during the beta than I did when the actual game came out. I probably played about 4 matches, and 2 co-op sessions and I was done. Say what you will about the Uncharted franchise; I will never understand why it is worshipped so much. Blind fanboyism, I can only assume, but the multiplayer is absolutely nothing I have not played in 50 other games before it, nor is the single player to be honest. I will wa...
I also recall him saying that about Arkham Asylum. He'll retire from the Joker, until the next Batman game.
I agree, Skyrim needs barrels and guns.
Have you even actually PLAYED the game? You shouldn't assume things. It does, in fact, make the game worse. It may not seem possible, but in an MMO, it simply doesn't work. The voice acting makes you care about your actions and what is going on in the world, however, the world is completely static, meaning that nothing you ever do will change anything. If you save someone's life, that person is still going to be in peril for all eternity immediately after being saved, and 20000 ot...
Yes. Mass Effect 3 will be my last Bioware game, just to finish the story. Anything else...meh. The company as a whole, and all of their games, are moving in a direction that I do not wish to follow. "Casual". Ugh, the word sickens me!
After a few betas, I can honestly say...it's an MMO. Without going into specifics to break NDA, I can say it's nothing new and nothing special whatsoever. Still all the old MMO problems that every MMO suffers from, and the added voice acting (which is the ONLY thing unique about it) seems good on paper but in reality, it just gets in the way...seriously, now you have to wait 10 minutes for someone to tell you to go kill 5 of this. Then an NPC tells you that you are "the galaxy...
Nothing deserves that fate. Game movies are terrible.
Soooooo far :(
No. Developers hope and pray that their generic multiplayer that no one will play for more than a few days will look like it adds more value to a game, thereby distracting its consumers from the 5 hour single-player campaign.
