This is clearly the beginning, I'm not talking about now, I'm talking about how every kid in the western world is going to be watching every show, every movie and playing every game in 3D in 5 years time. They are already talking about 3D channels, and 3D MMOs, and god knows how many countless hours people put into those games.
Kids have no self control, and parents are too lazy to control them.
3D is coming whether we like it or not.
I love how nobody questions the effect it has on your eyes and brain, only that it "looks kinda neat". I give it a few years before the "my son has detached retinas because he plays his Nintendo 3DS for 7 hours a day then watched 4 hours of 3D tv" lawsuits start coming. It's shocking that no company has done research on the long term affects when it's clearly evident that it messes up your brain, especially in children. You know that kid you made fun of in school c...
Desperate for traffic? I suggest a new career. Writing clearly isn't your thing.
They'll come out with a 3D PSP...you know they will. Either way, I'm holding off on getting a 3D TV until 1. they release them without glasses (which they already have the technology for, they are just waiting to get as many suckers to buy glasses tvs as possible because of that crappy Avatar movie) and 2. some proof that long term exposure to 3D doesn't permanently f*ck up your eyes. I don't think enough testing has been done, and with the 3d games, movies and tv channels com...
Both dumb in my opinion. I would rather have Move though, not for the technology as much as for the fact that they're actually going to be using it with hardcore games, and the motion control stuff wont be as kiddy. Still on the fence whether or not I'll actually get it, I'll wait until some decent games come out.
It's the best game cause they haven't showed anything yet, and everything we anticipate is just in our minds, meaning that when we actually SEE it, we'll be disappointed regardless because it will never live up to our expectations. I don't know why developers do this.
So basically, it has absolutely nothing to do with XCOM at all. I don't think it's as well known enough as an IP in this day in age to even warrant calling a new game XCOM, and the people who actually are XCOM fans want little to nothing to do with this because it's a completely different game and story than XCOM. Durrr...
My guess is a reskinned BioShock 2. So, it'll suck, basically.
Crytek's new exclusive bugged me the most. Not because I don't have a 360, but because I don't want to play a Crytek game on anything but PC. They are selling out to the green giant and it saddens me. I thought they would stay proudly PC, or at least mainly PC like Valve, but the fact that this game isn't going to be on PC at all (though I suppose it could be a games for windows live game, who knows) bothers me.
Probably not, but it does seem like an awfully good deal, and it looks cool to. I'd buy a new one if my current xbox broke.
Ohhh but I don't wanna.
He sounds like Martin Sheen. He is way too old sounding to be playing a 20something year old guy.
Co-op would be cool, don't really see anything good in terms of multiplayer. Deathmatch with 5 Coles vs 5 other Coles would be lame as sh*t.
It sounds so good, but they refuse to show any gameplay. Whyyyyy...don't you want people to get hyped for your game?
I'm interested in this as well, I just think it's taking way too long to make for a $10 downloadable game. Besides, it looks way too much like that Zombie Apocalypse game (though I'm sure it will be better) which people probably got their fill with. Zombies are so 2007, at this point I don't think anyone really wants another zombie game.
I love how everyone is crediting Cliffy B with this game when he most likely had nothing to do with it. They just needed a face to back the game so it would sell more. Game looks awesome enough as it is, much better than Gears ever was in my opinion. Not that I hate Gears, I just find it very bland and generic these days since everyone copies them now. Not their fault, but still a bad situation to be in.
Good!
Didn't care much for the first, I got sidetracked a few hours in and stopped playing but I'm hoping this will be better. I should have probably gotten the gold edition or whatever it was called, instead of the original, but oh well. Good to see they aren't pandering to the soccer mom crowd like most developers.
Slow start doesn't mean they lost. I'm too old for this fanboy crap, and anyone who can type should be too old for it too. Play what you want. All platforms have good games, deal with it.
No one will use 3D on the PS3. The 3DS has built in 3D, it's obviously not in the same ballpark as buying a $3000 tv and a $200 pair of glasses, fool.
I wouldn't consider this trolling. It did look pretty underwhelming. While I'm sure it's more fun to play than watch, the graphics look pretty PS2 era, or 2005 xbox era, and there just doesn't seem to be much new going on. It looks like PS1 gameplay. If you like it, go for it, but don't question people who have actually PLAYED it when you haven't.
