How the hell is Uncharted a trend setting game? It's just Gears shooting with Prince of Persia climbing. Just because people think it's the greatest thing in the world (which it's not, I still don't get why they do) doesn't mean it's original in any way.

While I would normally agree that "stealing is wrong", the way you went about expressing your opinion rubs me (and others) the wrong way. You Americans are always harping on other countries for not "being free" or whatever the hell you think that means, yet you are telling others to get a job and contribute to society. What if they don't want to? What if they hate society? What if they hate the way communities are made up, or how the entire world revolves around money?...
Hmm, not sure. I did enjoy the game, and I thought the writing in the manuscript was pretty good for a video game, but the story itself was really...well, dumb, especially towards the end.

See, this is why games journalists will never be taken seriously. None of them will ever get a girlfriend, so they write stupid articles about girls they'd never have a chance with. Stick to writing about games, it hides your desperation a little better.
I agree with you, I'm glad Uncharted 2 wasn't on that list. The only thing better about it was the graphics. Gameplay was virtually identical except for some annoying stealth parts which made it worse in my opinion, and the story was very similar to the first.
I'll probably end up getting it, but I don't like how many changes they made. Sure, the old Cole was a little emo and people didn't really "click" with him, but a lot of people played the game multiple times, and even though he might not be a great character, people are already adjusted to him and associate him with the InFamous franchise. Now he just looks like some average douche and he sounds like a 60 year old man.
Show me proof that it looks anywhere close to Uncharted, otherwise I'm inclined not to believe you.
It looks better than the original, but that's not saying much, but it's definitely not anywhere close to looking as good as some other games out there.
