Sony? Running something other than their own crappy proprietary software?
PSP phone would be cool, not that I'd be able to get one here since our providers SUCK
Nobody has a mic or keyboard on PS3, why would you want to play it there? No communication = failed MMO. You can't rely on people to buy their own mic/keyboard, cause that's what Sony's done all along and only like 5% of people have one that I've seen. Usually in a game of 16 people, maybe one has a mic.
What's "a life" in your eyes? If someone enjoys what they are doing, who are you to say that they are wrong?
Besides, not every gamer is like that. I get laid plenty, and exercise daily, and find half an hour to make a decent healthy dinner. I've never had an energy drink in my life, and I think I've only had a TV dinner thing once in my life when I was 12 cause my mom bought it for me when my parents went out, and I hated it so much I told her to never ...
They are banking too much on gimmicks. And charging too much. Gimmicks don't really change or enhance the gameplay experience at all, which neither of these things do. They give you an option to "change" how you play the game, usually for the worse. They have no real point. Gimmicks should be a tacky little addon for $10, not cost half the price of a console itself.
"The first 10 hours" means nothing to people. Most hardcore MMO gamers will play that in the first day they pick it up. I think that's the reason people don't like reviews. They want a review by someone who has played the game to max level and have done extensive raiding/pvp at end game. This is impossible if they want the review to come out in a timely manner, plus almost no reviewers actually play hardcore MMOs. Most of them now are still like "I finally hit level 50 ...
Reviews generally suck, I agree, but especially with games that you are required to put in a great deal of time in order to judge fairly. Most reviewers spend 5-10 hours on a game before they review it, including MMOs. The review is usually only about the first couple levels of one character/zone and that's it. They have no idea about anything, and base it off that. Reviewers are dumb. They want everything handed to them and want it to be easy enough to beat in a day, and if it isn't ...
These aren't new, these have been out for weeks.
Why do they keep showing 300? It's not even about Spartans. Ugh, morons.
There's nothing I want for the entire rest of the year. Everything has been pushed to Spring 2011. Sigh. Seriously there's like a million games coming out next spring. Guess I'll have to find an MMO or something to play until then.
Nothing will kill anything. Both games will be big. I'm getting really turned off by The Old Republic though. Originally, I thought it looked great, but now it just looks like they are using the same generic combat system that every other game uses. And graphically, it looks terrible. Sure, tons of people will play it because "it's Star Wars" and because they are stupid and don't realize there are tons of other, better MMOs out there, they just play whatever is the most ...
Hey, whattaya know, it still looks like shit.
Console people are stupid. They think 100% of PC game sales come from NPDs, which probably only makes up like 10% in reality. NPDs don't factor in digital distribution programs like Steam, Impulse, GoG, etc. or Walmart, which sells billions of copies of the Sims and WoW and all that other crap that "casual" gamers play. I'm positive PC games sell better than console overall.
And hell, 200 million people play Dungeon Fighter Online (including me), that's...
Cause they're in HD, and they took backwards compatibility out so you can't play them on your PS3 so you have to rebuy them if you want to play them. Also, you don't have to buy anything. No one is forcing you to. And finally, you work for a video game journalism outlet, therefore you get 90% of your games for free, including these most likely, and if you don't, it'll be one of the three games a year you actually have to spend your own money on, big whoop. You have a prett...
Um...it got like 2's didn't it? How is this a 9? Is this a joke review or something, or do they just rate on a scale of 8-10?
I'd say it has more the concept of Borderlands sans the loot. Seems much more that style of game. I don't think there's a complex conversation system and stat points or anything like that, plus there's dirt buggies as well. It's not really their fault, they've been working on that game for years. I don't think they want to scrap it after all the work they put into it, just because there's a bunch of similar games out there.
They will. They've admitted that they've had the technology for years, they are just trying to cash in on selling as many pairs of overpriced glasses as they can before they release it, so they can make even more money off the early adopters who will most likely go buy a 3D tv without glasses since they feel stupid for buying one with glasses and it simply wont do for them. It's just a cash grab, anyone buying 3D glasses is a moron.
Wow, learn to read. I never said they were part of the military, idiot. I said they used tanks and helicopters and other military type stuff. Are you saying they don't use helicopters and tanks in the military? I'm saying the game got way too military feeling for me. I don't know about you but I didn't see tanks and helicopters blowing up Washington DC in National Treasure. For a game that's supposed to be about treasure hunting and exploring, it pretty much boiled down to...
Poor wolves.
Man these video game "journalists" have no originality. I swear I see this same article written every five minutes. Jesus. How do they get paid for this?
First one. Second one is bad enough to make me not want the game.
