Hey Dead.. When games like Rabbids go home/Just Dance and Avatar sell more than possibly the best games of the gen, you can't help but call them imbeciles.
MW2 is obvious, AC2 and Fifa are also granted since most Brits are Fifa fans, but apart from that the list really shocks me in terms of the quality of games people buy these days.... Forza granted since Europeans love Car games.. So yup apart from that the list is dominated by stupid games like I mentioned above...
@moody... The game starts slow, but after an hour or so, it really picks up pace. Even I felt like you during the first hour when you feel powerless and have to do the usual deliver messages or beat em ups, but after the family gets murdered and you become an assassin, it becomes really interesting.
I would give the game a 9.5.. I don't know why you have given it an 8 in the sound department as I felt the sound is pretty well done and suits the mood well. I would cut some points ...
Demon Souls Rocks man. I once took an odd jab at it saying if this scored 9 on Edge, they should give UC2 a 10 easily, but how wrong was I (not in saying UC2 deserves a 10.. Both game are a 10 in my book), but Demon Souls is really close to UC2 in terms of GOTY.... I loved the online integration, loved the difficulty of the game and it's really satisfying to play and defeat a boss cause you actually Achieve something....
More games like DS are required this gen.
Lol might be M$s big E3 announcement.. After all, they have made it a point to get a PS3 exclusive every year... J/K... I personally feel this won''t happen mainly cause of the support Insomniac gets via Sony... going multi-plat means getting less financial support which can hurt them in the long run...On the other hand, if M$ are willing to throw a bagful of $$, then it's a different situation... Hopefully we will see R3 before this if it ever happens.

The numbers are VGZ, so I ain't holding my breath, but still I feel that Sony has passed the 30 million mark due to the FF13 outburt in Japan... Man only 5 million behind the 360 lol and still GT5 and GOW3 in the pocket.. Those could really help in decreasing the lead..... Still a magnificent achievement for a once costliest console and destined for Doom....

@sGIMBRE... Sorry to break this to you, but you will be lost if you haven't played the first 2... Get them as GOW is a really story heavy game and one of the best story it is... Trust me, I rate it with the likes of MGS which speaks loads... You have to know what's happening in GOW series to start 3 as I know 3 will directly throw you onto a Titan at the start and you will be like WTF happened and how the hell did I land on a Titan at the start of the game!!!!

I don't know why people still cry about N4G... Here is the fact, if it weren't for N4G, half of the sites you guys run wouldn't even be known by now and we would only have the IGNs, Gamespots and Gametrailers opinion in our head... This is what I hate about the media.. If KZ2 was a disappointment, then what was ODST???? A disaster? Cause last time I checked, KZ2 got the award from reputed sites like Gamespot and IGN as the best shooter. If you are creating a '2009 disappointment list', then why not include the 360 line up? Cause as far as my knowledge goes, none of the title even came close to KZ2 in terms of quality. Where is ODST and Halo Wars in the list???? Both sucked more than KZ2.... Way to show your bias Kotuka....

Story Sucks o_0 As far as I know, GOW series has one of the best stories around with an epic setting..... If you say GOW story sucks, then in short you must hate every single 360 game....
Grafix better on Xbox.... LMFAO. Ya the game looks better than any 360 game and the demo is still 1 year old.. Expect the real game to be significantly better looking....

The only thing DMC/Beyonetta has over GOW is it's complex over the top combo system... In every other department like Story, Graphics and Character, GOW pwns DMC/Beyo. Seriously name 1 character in the recent years that has gained the popularity of Kratos... Only 1 I can think is Nathan Drake and that too I feel Kratos had bigger emphasis on the action genre.....
GOW still is regarded as one of the best if not the best action game last gen and I am pretty sure GOW3 will take the ...

Do people really think both companies have shown all their major cards that people have started predicting 2010's GOTY from now!!!!
I personally feel the nominations will go to GOW3, Halo, TLG and probably multi-plats like Bioshock 2, FF13/ME2, Fallout Vegas.... But who knows if games like Agent or any other gets announced... Or it might be a surprise pack all together.
You know, if Heavy Rain gets critically acclaimed, then I feel most of the awards will go to HR f...
Since all the games you mentioned are multi-plats, which means all the games take up >8-9GB of space due to DVD9 limitations.... Most of the games are compressed, whereas PS3 exclusive games tend to be uncompressed thus taking in a lot more space....
Besides, GOW 1&2 themselves used up DVDs when they came out.... So obviously expecting it to be compressed in 8-9GB is not possible.
I will try to save for the PS4, but my top priority is to save for a new TV (obviously future 3D).... Gaming is becoming too expensive lol.... Gotta settle down and with the amount I am blowing up on games, I don't tag myself as the best budget handler.... Till date my PS3 has cost me around 2000-2500$... But it was totally worth it...
Hopefully this gen will last longer at least till 2012 and then APOCALYPSE!!!!!
Frankly Red Fraction Guerilla is one of my top multi-plat games this year along with AC2 and Batman. The game came out of nowhere as I just picked it up Used while traveling and really enjoyed it... The graphics are nothing to brag about and the story and cheezy and generic, but the game delivered on the thing that matters most and it was FUN.... Seriously breaking stuff never got old till the end and it created such a great game.
Still sad the online community died so early... ...
