AC2 is nowhere a crap game, in fact it's probably the best multi-plat to release last year.. Awesome long game, good gameplay, decent story, great graphics (leaving aside character models... They sucked plain and simple)...

The reason why I think it's delayed is cause Ubisoft's fiscal year starts April 1st, so it looks better in their financial report if they bring out the game in the month of April... Besides, Q1 is already jammed packed and the Q2 has some breathing space so it makes sense for them to release the game then...

I am pretty sure Sony will push GT5 in NA and Europe for late 2010.. Boy this vs Halo will be a mammoth fight in the sales department. It's actually intelligent to do so since that Q4 is the time most huge games land and GT5 is second to none in terms of being a massive console mover.
I think it will be perfect for Sony to launch GT5 late 2010 for a moving more consoles at the end of the year.... This along with a few more games like Resistance 3 and TLG/Agent could make an awes...
Why the hell would any company cut the prices in Summer 2010? If they really want to cut the price, then as last year, September is the best time as it's signals the last quarter and the sales are high. Sony can't cut the price since they are hardly breaking even and besides, PS3 is selling really well at the 299$ range... M$ can't cut the price any lower now since it's base model has already reached 199$.. Finally the Wii also had a cut, so no changes there as well..

I feel that GOTY this year will be really tough to choose and we won't have a unanimous decision like we have had for the past 3 years (2007-COD4, 2008-LBP/Fallout 3,2009-UC2).. Just take a look at it this way... GOW3, Bioshock 2,ME2, Halo, RDR, Fallout:Vegas, GT5, FF13 all seem GOTY material games and not to forget many other new IPs like Heavy Rain, Alan Wake, Agent, TLG also have a shot at the title...
I personally feel that GOTY award this year will go to games who think out ...
Nogolis, you really fail at stealth trolling. First you write a long rant of how PS3 owners don't buy exclusive games and blow Halo's trumpet and then say sales don't matter and then again say sales matter, make up you mind first. By the way, the article talks about games not sales. Halo will sell, so what? And what happens if no Sony game does that number? Uncharted 2 looks phenomenal.. If the new footage of GOW3 is even as good as UC2, then it's great news. Judging from the reactions people are giving after seeing it, I guess it's getting closer and closer. HHG usually exaggerates, but this time everyone seems awestruck seeing it that is why I feel it's gonna be really close.

The Embargo gets lifted and new GOW3 footage will be shown. Many sources have talked about the graphical updates and many have come out speechless (HHG and Ngai).. HHG and Ngai even came out saying the game looks like a first gen PS4 game now and many other sources including PSU and various sites agreed when they interviewed some people from Santa Monica.... Thus the hype about 18th Jan.

@cgoodno... Polygons matter, but in most cases it's the way they are used that defines overall graphics quality. Ghostbuster character uses more polygons than Nathan Drake (which actually is 30K not 80K) yet Drake looks far more detailed than any GB character... Same logic is with Heavy Rain Characters. They use less poly count yet look even better than few Crysis models. All depends on how you use the polygons and not the numbers.
And the comparison isn't CGI, it's all GOW3 in ...

PS3 wins for me mainly cause of GOW3 and TLG...The only title on the 360 that pulls my attention ATM is Alan Wake, before some 360 fanboy jumps on me, yes I am excited about Mass Effect and SC, but was always gonna get both on my PC so no probs here... If you take those 2 out of the equation, the list looks I dare say.. Weak. Gears 3 looks a long way off as off now, so might pick a 360 when it launches, but nothing planned.
